The rate of fall off in immunity will only emerge much later in the trials. I believe most researchers think boosters will be required, but noone knows yet.

im not fussed whether you dont take me seriously at all. What i am bothered about is millions of people believing nonsense and fake news over science. Read up on MMR and the issues that created and then magnify that by 100 and you can see the issues that could easily arise.

Would the vaccine be a one off jab or something like the flu jab where it's once a year.

The Novovax vaccine is 2 jabs, 3 weeks apart. They are hoping a minimum of 6 months immunity. I’ve not heard of any trial that expects life long immunity.

Hospital data for 2 days released since Boris went home.

Two not so great days sadly. Reversed the good news over the weekend.

England patients up 10621 to 10954 and today again up to 11520. (Was 9816 last Monday)

And ventilators up from 1001 to 1015 and today up again to 1046. (Was 883 last Monday)

Everyone knows Covid is deadly. However, if a person has a genuine concern in their own mind as to whether to rush or wait for an injection, why is that wrong in your mind?

Did they seriously need a committee to decide that care home residents are at most risk and the order of priority for getting the vaccine starts with the oldest and goes down in stages from there?

No wonder it takes us forever to get things done if something anyone on here could probably have written in 5 minutes needed meetings and debate to turn into a list that can then be leaked.

Those "not rushing" as you quaintly put it, need to decide their preference:

1. 100s of thousands dead, and hospitals full for months and long term symptoms for many more then followed by smaller outbreaks forever more or...

2. Lockdowns and social distancing forever or...

3. Take a vaccine with the small associated risk.

'cos I'm not aware of any alternative.

Old and at risk are the ones filling the hospitals. We solve the issue of knock on to other treatments, and save most lives in the end with this prioritisation.
