you would love it not to work just to political point score. Go on admit it.
Thirty years ago maybe mate.
Older and wiser now.
Why should I want another miserable fcucking lockdown for some political point scoring so that the Tories suffer some damage in the short term but win the election anyway in four years time (which in Tory England they will for the foreseeable future).
You dig?
PS let me make a suggestion that the relaxed new rules should have included more isolation requirements for the vulnerable and over 70s so that they don't get caught in a wave 3 just before the vaccines are on the way.

Can anyone explain what is happening with Johnson?

Why is it the that Premier league footballers can have a positive result in the squad but can continue to train and play due to regular testing. But for some reason the same doesn't apply to the PM.

Why is it that he is isolating rather than being tested each day?

There must be something I am missing.

Very sad story on Channel 4 News from South Dakota. It has the worst Covid hospitalisation and death rates in the States. South Dakotanhas the fewest Coivd restrictions in the States and many residents prioritise “their freedoms’.

Sadly, some seriously ill patients are shouting at nurses for miracle drugs they’ve heard about that don’t exist. The local healthcare services are overwhelmed.

Because of the criticism he would receive if he wasted a test every day when others can't neccessarily get one.

Also, showing the nation that even he has to follow the rules and isolate. Can you imagine the uproar if he had rocked back to work the next day, it would have been anarchy in the UK.

Greater Manchester - best scoreboard since September.

Manchester 145 – down from 199. Total cases 29, 997. Just missed being third place to top 30K cases behind Birmingham and Leeds. Until tomorrow. Weekly 1447. The student add on is now gone! Pop score up 26 to 5046. Weekly Pop down a giant 548!!! (losing the student increase) from 810 down to 262. Even lower than it was before the add on.

Wigan 96 – down from 135. Total cases 15, 802. Weekly 1022. Pop score up 29 to 4808. Weekly Pop up 6 to 315. (The student redistribution benefited Wigan a week ago is why).

Rochdale 96 – up from 82. Total cases 12, 030. Weekly 837. Pop score up 43 to 5409. Weekly Pop up 6 to 376.

Oldham 81 - down from 124. Total cases 14, 230. Weekly 935, Pop score up 38 to 6001. First GM boroigh into the 6000 club and second in UK,, Weekly Pop down 14 to 394.

Stockport 78 – down from 79. Highest up list Stockport has been in while. Showing how well others now doing, Total cases 10, 107. Weekly 651. Pop score up 26 to 3444. Weekly Pop up 49 to 221, Opposite result but same reason as Manchester. Student reallocation lowered not increased its Pop last week and that impact is now removed after 7 days.

Bolton 67 – down big from 164. Total cases 14, 452. Weekly 899. Pop score up 38 to 6001. Yet weekly Pop goes up 22 to 313. Again reason is that Bolton lost a lot of cases in the student reallocation last Monday. .

Tameside 59 – down from 66. Fifth straight fall. Total cases 10, 069. Weekly 578. Pop score up 26 to 4446. Weekly Pop down 52 to 256.

Salford 57 – down from 62. Total cases 12, 934. Weekly 676 (Big drop here because of the student reallocation last week being removed). Pop score up 22 to 4997. Lowest Pop score rise by Salford in months. Weekly Pop down a whopping 179 for same reason as Manchester to 261.

Bury 45 – down from 78, Total cases 9301. Weekly 605. Pop score up 24 to 4870. Weekly Pop up 44 to 317 – same reason – Bury too lost cases and a chunk of Pop Score as a result in the student allocation last Monday – impact now removed as a week has passed.

Trafford 39 – down from 50. Trafford now been under 100 for 9 days. Total cases 8424. Weekly 410. Doubled despite at its lowest number in 3 months because of the losses in the reallocation but even so easily the lowest in GM. Though at least we have a race again with Bury, Stockport and Salford (amazingly) in the 600s in case there is a slide. Pop score up 16 – best of day easily - to 3549. Now just 105 behind Stockport in race for best over the whole pandemic and look sure to become top dog in a week or two.. Weekly Pop up a big 123 to 173. Lead over Stockport here cut more than half to 48 as Trafford benefited the most from the student reallocation. Still best in GM and only borough sub 200..

I did a Straw Poll at dinner time with 9 of the lads at work “ Who will have a vaccine?” 6 said No, 3 of us said Yes ..
Ages were 2 of us in 50s . 4 in 40s , 3 in 20s.
Worrying.

The scoreboard should be back to normal progress up and down now the chaos caused by the student reallocation is over. Until the next Gov.Uk data cock up which will, of course, not happen.....well for a few days at least hopefully.
