Other details of todays 295 England hospital deaths:

Regions: - Midlands 83, NE & Yorks 45, London 48 - highest yet here.

Ages 20 - 39 (1), 40 - 59 (13), 60 - 79 (113), 80 + (168)

England hospital deaths 3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today - with NW deaths and % of NW in UK deaths:

317 / 90 NW / 29% v 346 / 89 NW / 26% v 351 / 81 NW / 23 % v 295 / 52 NW / 18 % today

An excellent downward track here in the NW percentage and 22 lower in total than 3 weeks ago on one of the higher days of the week usually.

Though you have to feel a little sad that we seem to have turned this corner just as a vaccine appears on the horizon and we decide to relax things for some large city regions and give everyone 5 days off from pretty much all restrictions in the next few weeks which may well tip us into a third wave in January just as the cavalry is coming.

I really hope that I am wrong and misjudging this possibility and the government have got this right.

Could I make a request? Is there any chance you could put the 3wks vs 2wks etc in the line below each other going forward. Like this:

317 / 90 NW / 29% - 3 weeks ago
346 / 89 NW / 26% - 2 weeks ago
351 / 81 NW / 23 % - 1 week ago
295 / 52 NW / 18 % - today

I personally find that a lot easier to see the downwards trends that way. Feel free to tell me to fuck off though ha! Not arsed either way, still incredibly useful so thank you :)

I did actually try doing that a couple of days ago to see if anyone commented.

But I will try to remember to do it that way now as I thought it might.

Thanks for reminding me or I would have forgotten!

If I forget again you have my permission to shout at me!

Ha! No worries mate. I honestly don't mind either way. It's incredibly useful data, so thank you for sharing it. Good to see such a positive downwards turn. Hopefully it stays that way.

Northern Ireland data:

11 deaths

8 F / 3 M 1 aged 60 - 79 10 aged 80+ 8 in hospital 3 in care homes.

456 cases

7 day rolling total is 2646 - which has unfortunately been slowly creeping up after falling for weeks.

Care home outbreaks 119 - these are falling steadily.

Patients 413 (down 22)

Ventilated 27 (down 2)

N, Ireland 3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths //Cases // 7 day total cases // patients //ventilators

15d // 548 // 3835 // 436p // 39v

12d // 487 // 3401 // 456p // 32v

8 d // 442 // 2438 // 419p // 30v

11d // 456 // 2645 // 413p // 27v

Not sure that really is more clear tbh. The England hospital deaths is more simple than when there are so many measures being compared. But will try to remember to do it as above.

Anyhow today's total deaths with out of hospital from England is 381.

3 wks to 2 wks to last wk to today 411 v 431 v 438 v 381 today - looks very promising.

That 438 last week became 498 in all settings when out of hospital England added.

Can you get takeaway pints in Tier 2, can't see it mentioned anywhere
you can get takeaway pints form pubs in lockdown, nevermind the tier system (my local does, legally) but you have to have a lot of boxes ticked and other things in place. he does it because he's making more money from it.

And total cases for the three nations today is 2887 - again worrying that this is now starting to rise again.

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today:- 2621 v 2424 v 2918 v 2887 - not very encouraging.

I found the claims today from Gavin Williamson rather embarrassing.

The UK didn't make that vaccine, all our people did was assess it and approve it quickly.

I am really struggling to see how we can claim to be better than other countries when it comes to dealing with this virus either?

The guy needs to learn how to do his job as education secretary first. Something he has failed at so far imo.

Regional scoreboard:

London 2081 - down from 2614 - but still top

Midlands 1356 - down from 1495.

North East 652 - UP from 590

Yorkshire 1520 - UP from 1347

And North West 1406 - down from 1719 and back in 3rd place and only 50 off being in fourth.
