Erling Haaland

Course they will get big money anywhere but we have been outpriced many times on players even though they had more chances of winning trophies with City
Correct, but they are the players that prove they had the wrong motivation to play for us, and mostly when they have got the bigger money haven’t won the trophies, unlike the players we have ended up with that have pushed us to winning things and setting records. Van Dijk is an exception.

His agent. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it) city won’t deal with him

We don't have a blanket stance in regards to Raiola clients. Plenty of reports already confirm we want Haaland, we have Sandler in our books, were offered Mkhitaryan and Pogba who are both Raiola clients and have shown interest in other clients. We would obviously not like to work with him but I think that goes for virtually all top clubs.

Hazard is another exception. My point is that no matter how good we are as a team and how good our set up is that is not a given that a player chooses us over Chelsea, United, Liverpool, etc. There are plenty of players we were in for that ended up elsewhere because they got a better pay check. Its sad but true.

What's the deal with the release clause? Is it for 2022, if even true? If so, I can't see Dortmund selling for anything other than 100M plus. That's the sort of money they wanted for Sancho, they even let Lewandowski, leave for nothing when they could have had a decent fee from Bayern a year earlier. I doubt somebody like Braaf would give us any leverage at all, in a transfer for Haaland in 2021.

It always comes down to money. The first club that pays Dortmund what they want, and Halaand what he (and his agent) wants, will get him.
And if reports are true then the summer of 2021 is the year to make a move, if we think he’s the right guy, because there is no release clause.

There’ll be fewer clubs that can deal, after 18 months of Covid, at £100m+ transfer fees (rather than the £70m in 2022) so our odds already look better. If Aguero goes we automatically have the wage room.

We desperately need to shake up our attacking options and at least one, preferably two goal scoring forwards should be on our list.

Sarri. Literally followed his manager at Napoli, to Chelsea.
"Chelsea are going to pay him more and I can't do anything about it.

"Jorginho joining Chelsea does not depend on Sarri [joining Chelsea]."

What about Sanchez, Fred, Pogba, Maguire, Van Dijk, etc? All turned us down for more money. That will play a major part in where Haaland goes next.

Jorginho joined Sarri for the same wages as he would have got here, because he wanted to continue playing under Sarri.

Er... no they didn't.

City refused to pay the transfer fees on all those players bar Sanchez, big difference.

We should go all out for him. The hardest thing to buy is goals and Haaland has them in abundance.

He’s a killer in front of the goal. Scores many with his first touch something quite rare right now in our team. Tall, quick, young and has a connection to City. Scores in Germany, scores in the champions league, scores for the national team. Think Haaland would be better for us than Mbappe.

If that means we need to pay £100m with another £20m to Raiola so be it. A generational striker is easily worth that.

There’s no better replacement for Aguero than Haaland.

Bundesliga and CL in 2020:

Pld: 24(6), Gls: 31, Ass: 4, Shots: 87, SOT: 47, SOT%: 54, Conversion rate: 35.6%, SOT Conversion rate: 66%.

Compared to Lewandowski since the start of 19/20:

Pld: 46(1), Gls: 69, Ass: 13, Shots: 255, SOT: 131, SOT%: 51.4, Conversion rate: 27.1%, SOT Conversion rate: 52.7%.

Not according to reports. Another rumour is he had no choice and Napoli said they would make him see out his 2 year contract unless he signed for Chelsea.

Can’t see us spending 100 million to get him. Hope I’m wrong but think we will go for the 60 million good player option as usual these days.
Hope I’m wrong

And the players and their agent get a big slice of any signing on fee. If any of those players mentioned had their heart set on City they would have come.
