Another strange tweet by Simon Stone. I wonder if he was given that line by someone at Everton or just decided to put it out himself to try and imply there has been something dishonest in the Premier League decision to call off the match. It is a very strange phrase to use.

Journalism 101, use linguistics to imply something without explicitly saying it.

But this is the BBC, a taxpayer funded organisation who should deal in facts and nothing else; ‘Man City vs Everton has been postponed due to an outbreak of Covid-19’ should be their message and nothing more.

Honestly, some people on here don’t have an issue with the BBC, which stuns me. As an organisation they have lost their grip on their purpose. They aren’t fit to serve their purpose. I cannot wait for the death of the pedophile protecting organisation that is the BBC.

I'm sure that some will claim the risks have been worth it and that overall it has been a success but I still think last season should have been cancelled and this one should not have started. It is difficult though to get the balance right been protecting health and minimising economic damage.
