Everton (A) | Game Postponed

The media made such a fuss about an adviser breaking the rules in a car journey with limited contact to others but they all turned the other way when a footballer from a certain club went to a packed wedding.
I know its was a bit different with Cummings and his role but the virus has no favouritism about the day jobs of people. Its numbers that it likes.
I would say WTFIDC rather than WTFIMS.
BO

Its not inconceivable that our latest batch caught it at the same time as the first two and it took longer for the disease to show.
So much uncertainty around l am quite happy to stay in save for walking the dog in quiet areas. I open kissing styles with a crutch and then sanitise my hands and crutch. I did get a funny look from a woman as l rubbed the gel over the crutch;)

I'm actually surprised that there are people on twitter and forums claiming Fulham should be deducted points.
The usual garbage. If they can field 14 play them.
Its not broken metatarsals and groin strains these players have.
Maybe they should read this (if they can read)

The bit about the lad in his 20's, his ribs cracking under CPR, and that he didn't pull through, is particularly scary.

Bet you there is nowhere near the amount of outrage we got, just like with Newcastle people won't be bothered because it's the rational thing to do.

PMSL what a factual balanced headline contrasted to the shit insidious bollocks written about City yesterday! Fucking comical!

Let the moaning efc cunts read this, they who openly criticised us for only giving them 5 hours notice, the ones who are moaning about how inconvenienced they were, the Unfuckingbelievable classless clowns with no fucking perspective. This pandemic is going to get a lot worse, but they choose to moan about 2000 inconvenienced football fans and a few wasted pies.

The players are not a helpless group of victims. They could call a halt in the morning if they were of such a mind. Clearly they are still happy with the arrangements and find the level of risk acceptable. I agree it is all about money but hey the players, in the PL at least, get the lions share of it.

You make a good point but a few individual players refusing to play will only cause issues for those players , there needs to be common sense applied but we both agree whilst money is involved this season will proceed and fires will be put out on the way, unfortunately it will take a death to make the money men think twice.

I remember getting the service trains to Lime Street from Victoria for away games at Liverpool and Everton in the 80s particularly. Bricks and bottles would be showered on the trains by the barbarians, then there was the much less than warm welcome from Merseyside's finest en arrival at Lime Street.
Let's call it as it was - outright abuse - unless throwing the odd expletive around the word "Manckh" is a term of endearment.

The send off via darkened railway yards were unforgettable experiences too. Returning through crowded Greek island airports with 6 or other plane loads full, complete with squawking infants, is a doddle compared to being pushed up against the wall, in the dark, like sardines by Merseyside constabulary. I was one of the lucky ones as I didn't get to see or feel a truncheon at close quarters. Some weren't so lucky...

Every club and Police force has its knobheads, incuding our own. Knobheads will attack innocents and some are just racists (I've dealt with those) . Some clubs are worse than others. I've no issue with those who want to fight other like minded oppos. That's their business. I'm glad the Guvnors sorted out the racists at City back in days of yore. They did the club a great service, making Maine Road a place where I felt safe.

Liverpool FC have had a lawless, dangerous cult following for decades. It doesn't get reported because whatever they do, they will always come up smelling of roses. Just like the Stretford shower. The major difference being the actions of Liverpool fans is off the scale and not checked by any law, or authority. Still no arrests for the mass attack on the City coach - what a surprise. They went on the rampage in Liverpool last summer attacking the club offices of their neighbours and desecrated a statue to Dixie Dean near Goodison.

For all the current knobhead behaviour of some Everton fans and their club over the last couple of days because City had to ask for postponement of the game to prevent spread of a deadly virus to their club, Everton's whining keyboard warriors are amateurs compared to their neighbours, but they don't half like to play the victim... just like their brothers across the park. Something that we need to keep an eye on.

I've got a long standing friend who's an Evertonian. There's plenty of honesty in our relationship about each others club. Plenty of give and take, and I like that. No love lost but no hatred. I've got other Evertonian mates too. No issue there either.

For all the similarities - like it or not - between Everton and Manchester City, we're still very different. The classless statement released by Everton last night being a good example. What do Everton want? Do they want City to spread this horrible deadly virus to them? Do they care for the wellbeing of their players and staff?

It would appear that playing the victim is still not the sole domain of Liverpool FC.

Surely it's better for Everton to be Everton than Liverpool-Lite?

That really is food for thought. I get my news mainly off BBC Breakfast and the bits that lve caught since Christmas have been happy clappy stuff. It's they asked the question 'do you want the good news or the bad news first?' and just getting the good news.
It is ridulous that football is going on.
50k new cases today Ffs. Where will it all end?

Might sound crass but they won’t give a fuck if it’s one of ours.

It's scary that it will probably take a player to be hospitalised (or God forbid, worse) for the greedy PL to take any meaningful action. Hope I'm wrong...

It is the risk that the players pose to others that should be in the forefront of their mind. They have wives and children ffs. Players pass the virus around amongst each other, no real problem, they are young and fit. Then one of them takes it home to granny.

any kind of lung scarring in an asymptomatic player can be a career-ender, let alone the cost of not being able to sell a player because they can't pass medicals or having to replace them because they can't play anymore. Hence why this outbreak in our squad is so concerning.

I would like to know the percentage of footballers who live with their “granny”. Next to none.

they can choose not to play

City turn up with positive cases "Moneybags Manchester City are the root of all evil in the world. They should forfeit their matches and an immediate investigation should be launched into banning them from competitive football"

Other clubs turn up with positive cases "Awwww poor wittle Sheffield, they're trying so hard. Nothing could have prevented this"
