Dry January...

Doing it this year for weight and fitness as much as anything. Working from home since the first lockdown has meant I am less active and I've been drinking loads more.
A month off as a reset, with then an intended reduction in intake afterwards.

Mrs looking up mocktails. I'm not arsed, I'll be happy with a brew and a nice glass of water

I’ve only drank alcohol on four occasions since my last big piss up with the lads on 18th January for the Palace game. None of these times have I drank more than four drinks.

- Birthday in April, had a takeaway and a few Guinness at home
- Went for a meal and a couple of cocktails in July when pubs and restaurants reopened
- Christmas Day
- New Years Eve

Cut back on my drinking in a huge way during 2020, I feel so much better for it.

In hindsight though if ever there was a year that you would want to avoid being stone cold sober it was last year.

Going to try a period of non-alcoholic beers as a substitute and see how that goes.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Euthanasia! Seriously, Erdinger alcohol free is ok cold on a hot day. Wouldn't fancy a 'skinful' of any of the 0% stuff, but it's fine in the same way as you'd enjoy a glass of coke or lemonade.

Pretty much the idea behind it. If it tastes the same but doesn't contain the effects it's all good.

Less of a weight issue and more a healthy liver one. (NB have no problems with my liver currently, but any sort of change has to be good, right?)

I’m going for it.

Recently felt guilty drinking and it ruins my next day.

Going to see how long I can last for.

Already taking March and April off as will have a newborn, so going to see if I can last until then... probably not.
