un-be-fucking-lieveable - these two faced snakes were holding up fishing as their totem when really not giving a tinkers cuss - I do hope people in the fishing industry, the fish processing industry, hauliers, people who work in boatyards and their kids who see their parents lives fucked over by this lot have very long memories

In other news...

PM trailing some new pro-union soundbites: "I hope the SNP isn't so deranged to hand back our fishing rights to the EU." @Sun

Johnson needs to focus on fish as a selling point for Brexit...

Sunlit uplands update. Fresh seafood exports from Scotland to EU halted until 18 January‘ @Guardian

Finally, news on reconfiguring supply chains...

Stena’s brand new ferry for Irish Sea intra-UK route Belfast-Liverpool has been redeployed RoIreland-France, ie bypassing UK land bridge’ @BBC

Jesus wept.

at some stage people will have to acknowledge how wrong they were - not the ultra's of course - as was said from the outset when it goes to shit, costs jobs, destroys industry then it will be the manner of implementation that is blamed not the fact that Brexit was always an unachievable rwnj wet dream in a modern integrated world

So tell me, depending on how things unfold............

if it ends up different to what you predict/expect - do you have it within you to admit that you were wrong?

I am confident that I could do that

But you and others on here - well, frankly, I don't believe you could

Why are you asking a member of group 1? You said you don’t have any interest in what we have to say?

It won't come to that - you won but as it unfolds you lost - own it and accept it - you and your cohort will have a lot of people to apologise to - accept it rather than a 5k word dissertation of bullshit in reply trying to prove you think you were right. Grow up and man up.

Looks like the Westminster Government are about to breach the agreement (invoking article 16) with the EU by suspending the border between Great Britain and Northern Ireland citing the current restrictions as unworkable.

Once again Johnson will renege on a signed agreement. No morals at all, can't be trusted

And DEFRA has a plan to give priority to empty lorries heading for Dover going to the EU to bring back produce to the UK. It will only kick in if queues get to 8 hours.

The orange shortage may have been sorted.

At last there's a sign that those work streams are bearing fruit.

Just checking.....

Article 16 of what?

Loving all this faux angst about fishing

Setting aside that the issues could largely have been identified and mitigations/actions determined to address them if only a Remainer led government had not prevented the required planning being undertaken...........

It only seems a few months ago that the same posters that are now outraged about current issues were outraged at the prominence fishing was being given in the negotiations due to the insignificance of the industry

Apart from the fact that you approve the deal that has in the end treated fishing as insignificant, whereas I at least warned of the importance of seafood exports, I'd love to dump you in Eyemouth to explain that their angst is faux.

Seriously - it obviously cannot be Article 16 of the NIP - so what is it?
It obviously is.

You seem to have lost your cheerleaders this week (not all I see) and apart from "looking back" I'm not sure what your purpose and intention is here now.
