Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Anyone remember when Liverpool I think it was scored from a scuffed clearance from Gundogan, they said that reset the phase of play. None of this biased gits gave a shit about the conversation then, they were too happy.

Such poor commentary from BT Sport all round tonight, McPointy shouted "awwwww". Just as KDB played Cancelo in before he hit the bar. It's quite disgraceful how they are all blatantly praying for City to drop points.

It's totally the opposite when Liverpool and United play. For example, the stat they gave at half time about City loosing points in the last 4 games when they went in at half time 0-0. Have you noticed they look for the complete opposite kind of omens for the media darlings? Everything positive, willing them on.
It made it even sweeter than BT Sports were so gutted. They decided in the end that it was a good goal.

Lovely, I wonder if R5 are doing their phone in thing for bitter fuckers tonight - should be a laugh if so.

Im buzzing mate, what a game, don’t normally like winning games how we just have. But purely down to the state of Grealish, I’m ecstatic that we did. I might tune in to R5 with a nice cold Peroni and laugh it all up

Well there you go, I said in the match thread that Bernardo hasn't scored or assisted in the PL this season and then he scores the winner, I said we hadn't won a game where the scores were level at halftime and then we did just that, massive win in horrible conditions, these are the games that we weren't winning last season.

and piss off BT, both goals were correct by the laws of the game, Mings controlled the ball therefore Rodri wasn't offside anymore, and the penalty was in accordance with the handball rule.

Absolutely brilliant game! Few times have I felt so many conflicting emotions in such a short period of time. Not sure why that first goal wasn't given offside. We might have been lucky in the end, but we definitely deserved to win the game. We played extremely well, except for finishing our chances. We were as wasteful today as we were clinical against Palace.

Villa are such a strong side. Much like Leicester, they don't have any weaknesses. They're strong all over the pitch and pose constant danger in possession and on the counter. They came here to play, not to defend for their lives and wait for defensive errors. Have to give them credit. It was the best game I've seen all season by some margin. There could have been 10 goals in this game.

We need to bring a striker before the window closes, even if it is someone on loan. That could literally be the difference between winning the league and finishing 5th. We'd be monumentally stupid not to.

Villa were time wasting after 15 mins. They have spent a lot of money. They have a couple of good player and one excellent player. Anyone thought we had beaten a plucky division 2 team.

Rodri wasn't offside.

By common sense laws of the game, of course he is.

But with the current laws and directives in the interest of "making it simpler", it's onside.

Shouldn't have been a penalty though. It was going wide :)
Doesn't matter where the ball direction was going.

Exactly what I said when it happened, do they want the player or players to have more than one touch before the new phase is applicable? If Mings doesn't make an attempt but the ball brushes him it's off, that categorically wasn't.
If a player became offside tackling someone you wouldn't ever close down a goalkeeper with the ball at their feet because you'd be offside if you won it.

Haha. Wanko Walton caught out not knowing the rules. Suck on it you useless shithouse. And you, Camel gob. Despite having the rule explained, still saying it should be disallowed.

Close decisions but no normal person could say the win was undeserved.

Terrible finishing. Exciting game. Villa played their part despite pelters on the in-match thread.

Come on Fulham. Do one on them, Scottie.
