Fantasy:
Pep , get rid of Sterling, free up funds for Grealish.

Pep:
But fantasy, Sterling has scored over 100 goals for us.

Fantasy:
I bet Grealish has got more

Pep:
Well he has scored 29 goals for Villa, so not really.

Fantasy:
Look at his shinpads though, class , pure class.

Pep:
I will let you know, kid. Keep playing fifa though.

I spend a lot less time on here than most but even I have noticed that Fantasy is not a massive Sterling fan.

Sterling is having an off season.. but that is all. He’s elite and his movement for the goal on Wednesday showed that. That is also the goal that Pep got the most excited about in what was a very good performance. Sterling is a dream player for Pep as he fits his philosophy perfectly.

You don’t sell an English player of his ability as they are about to enter their prime.

For Christ sake, you’re lucky to get 2 English players of his ability in a 10 year cycle.

He won’t be going anywhere and rightly so.

Have to agree, although Sterling would be the better option to sell than Jesus.

We need a player with his incredible ability, strength, guile, leadership and tenacity. As i keep saying, alongside Foden and Bernardo we'd be mindblowing.
Sterling has over 120 goal contributions for club only in his last 3 seasons. Would be incredibly stupid to sell one of our best players. Form is temporary, class is permanent

Do you think the dippers would swap Mane for Grealish?

No chance and rightly so.

Thing is Mane is having a similar season to Raheem in terms of output and general performance.

In terms of full flow both are better than Grealish though, with far higher output and most importantly fit into their respective teams systems.

And for what it’s worth I think Sterling has the slight edge on Mane, as he’s younger and has a slightly better output despite being no where near as good finisher which is largely due to his movement.

Grealish is a fantastic footballer but would not fit in our system unless he played the Debruyne role.. and that logic is just mega lolz.

People are wasting their time chatting to FantasyIreland about Sterling. Nailed his colours to the mast a long, long time ago and it's probably his favourite topic of conversation.

Anyway, I like Grealish as a player and think he'd do well here. Doubt he'd have anywhere near the same impact for us that he does for Villa because we've already got better and more important players. If signing him meant we could free up Foden to be used in his natural position then that's a huge benefit as well.

Just as long as he keeps his mouth shut. The guy sounds thick as fuck and comes across as an utterly vapid Love Island twat.

Do you think Sterling is a better player than Grealish?

I believe he brings more to a team.

As I have constantly said Grealish is an incredibly skilled footballer. Grealish often makes poor decisions, dribbling in a deep position, is not something Pep would allow. Winning free kicks is not the ultimate aim. His goalscoring rate is not good. He is by no means what we need right now. We need a Sergio replacement, and a fern replacement, not a show pony( though an excellent show pony at that.)

A show pony is all fur coat and no knickers.

Grealish changes games, his influence is phenomenal.

We'll agree to disagree, and if he doesnt ever turn up here,we'll watch another top club take him and make them plenty better.

Yes let us respectfully disagree, stats can be misleading but at this stage.

Grealish, premier league stats.
15 goals, 15 assists

Sterling,
94 goals, 48 assists.

Those stats are incredibly misleading!

How many prem games has Sterling played vs Grealish. Far far far more.

It’s almost as bad as comparing my prem stats with Sterling’s lol

Plus they play in different positions, plus Raheem has only ever played for teams that have finished top 4.

Some of your previous posts on this thread have been great, this one is awful (apologies for saying it, but it’s true ;))

Would I swap him fir Sterling, nope

I think they’re both great players, would both be great in the same team, but not sure anyone who plays in Grealish’ position is going to be a priority until Gundogan or KDB move on. Having said that, I’m not sure any of us can second guess Pep’s plans

I’d love to see him play for us, but doubt it’ll happen

There is a good reason for Sterling playing for a top 4 team.

He’s one of the best creative midfielders in the league but we have one here that’s definitely better and two others that are just as good - if not superior.
...and my opinion is that Grealish wouldn't be able to take that. At Villa he's number 1, everything goes through him; if he came here it wouldn't, he'd be a bit part player who'd be used sporadically and (IMO - don't know the lad, just how it appears from the outside looking in) his ego wouldn't be able to take that.

Great player an all that but his "issues" would multiply if he was benched for half the games.

Leave him where he is and stick with what we've got in his position. Would be interesting to see him play as a Left wingback though.
