I'm not convinced that any footballer could flap and fall backwards like Salad without extensive cheating practice.
Can't think of anyone else who has mastered this particular 'art' of cheating and conning the officials. Even VAR are fooled (or maybe not......).
From the way he was flapping his arms, I thought he was having difficulty taking off!

John Aldridge argues that Garth is the world's second greatest philosopher and second most original thinker, which contrasts with what seems to be the view on here that he is the country's greatest plonker.
Yep.. Crooks seems to be one of those types who thinks that using ten words where one would do, and having a controversial opinion, no matter how irrational, marks him out as that bit cleverer than the average pundit.
He puts me in mind of contestants on tv quizzes trying to show how smart they are by knowing, for example, the names and dates of classical composers, but do not have the the ability to understand or appreciate the music they wrote.

Good piece on Phil and Pep here from FourFourTwo’s Richard Jolly

That's a good piece. Whilst the media have been creaming themselves about Foden this week, it's felt like most of them don't really know him and have just seen odd clips. That guy understands him as a player and he's dead right about the way Pep has integrated him.

Garth is slavering utter pish about Foden.

The talent this young man possess is incredible. Rarely seen. He isn't just comfortable across a front three, but can play the 10 role exceptionally well too. He has superb and abnormal tactical intelligence that you wouldn't expect to see in a 20 year old. Under Pep, he will only get better which is a terrifying prospect.

He's one of the first names on the team sheet now and will be for the foreseeable, but there's a debate about his spot for England? Sure, ok then, Garth. There isn't a talent out there like him in Europe for me and the best part? He's come right through the academy. Hopefully something we benefit more from in the years to come.
so the media slagging him off because he plays for manchester city what will say when he plays for england ?
the media reporting on city will have to change because of phil foden ? its got to change and when foden plays like he did on sunday only to see the media and pundits rubbish one of the best performances by a young english player against the media darlings liverpool on their home ground

the KING is dead ? long live PHIL FODEN the new heir to the throne

The entire sports media (bar Crooks) are waxing lyrical about Foden. He's the man of the moment.

I see they UK Gov has refused to follow the US lead and stop selling arms to the Saudis. Thats got our dirty mits all over it (or so Delooney will say). Just don't understand why the Newcastle deal didn't go through, eh! You cant invest in our clubs, but do you want a few of our missiles?

Meanwhile can we all take a minute to pray for poor Miggy, who didn't get the title race he, his media chums and 95% or Ireland’s population wanted after all...

View attachment 10105
No where near 95% of Ireland's population wanted that. Only the Irish & U.K. sports media, clowns like Miggy and ill informed posters think that 95% of Ireland's population follow red teams. No where near 95% of the population have any interest whatsoever in PL football. Of those who do follow PL football, yes red is the favourite colour, amplified by media brain washing like DM .Sky & BT etc. non stop "red is great". Back in my teenage years in the 60's/70's most Division 1 teams had plenty of fans, many supported teams where Irish players were involved and the rabid tribalism we see now was rare. Growing media access especially UK. tv and the short sea crossing from Dublin, the main population area, to Manchester & Liverpool increased the numbers of red fans. The reality is there have always been large pockets of Irish fans of other clubs, equally frustrated with the lop-sided media coverage. Kids and teenagers growing up now support many PL and other European teams. Your "95% of population" cliche, is an example of island mentality, stale, unresearched and a lazy attempt to get "likes" at the expense of "Johnny foreigner".

Hahahaha chill out ffs, as if I’m arsed about getting “likes” on here. And my late parents and all my family are Irish born and bred, I have an Irish passport and dual nationality and go there 3/4 times a year so stick your Jonny Foreigner shouts up yer hole

Totally chilled thanks. Maybe instead of getting so upset you should have edited your 95% cliche, to accurately reflect the support for other PL clubs of people who live in Ireland. You should know better. Enjoy your holidays with the 5%.
