Next Captain

I don’t think de Bruyne is a good captain. He moans and throws his arms in their air at the other players too much because they aren’t as good as him. He gets too frustrated with everyone.

I think a captain should be calm. The two centre halves are the prime candidates for me. You saw with Stones yesterday, he was every bit the captain on that pitch. He lead the back 6, constantly in communication with everyone. Dias is the same when he plays.
 
In Dias, looks like we might have got the type of leader that crops up every 10 years or so someone in the VK, Terry, Keane mould.

I don't think Pep will pick him though I reckon Ferna will get a new deal and him and KDB will share it.
 
I am not in the slightest bit bothered who is captain, the way we play is like having 11 captains on the pitch at the same time
 
We need someone who is commanding and willing to show some vocal leadership when on the pitch. KDB isnt that person IMO. Sterling isnt the right guy either. Personally id love to see Dias given the role and would throw a benchmark down to the rest of the team moving forwards.

He reminds me of a Keane/Vieira/Ferdinand/Kompany type captain.
 
I think Pepe sees a team of leaders and the captain is just the one that talks to the ref during the game and joins him, the ref, the opposition manager and their captain before the game. So he doesn't need a leader - he needs a professional spokesperson. So he must think that Sterling is the better at that than anyone else in the team (who's fit).

I think Pep leaves it to the players. They vote for a senior player group and a captain at the beginning of the season. When the captain doesn't play, one of the other 3 or 4 Senior Players act as captain. Fern was voted captain, Kev, Raz, and Kyle were votes as Senior Players.
