The ankle issue I get it, but 28? An issue? Come on. That’s just ridiculous. That is not an advanced age. Look at how old Ronaldo was when Juventus signed him. Lukaku is the same age and extremely fit, to the point that in 10 years he will probably still be playing at a decent level

You have just compared a freak like Ronaldo with Kane to make a point. Apples and oranges. Kane is good but not comparable to Ronaldo on any level.

Kane has been over used and he has been injured for 6 to 8 weeks in each of the last three seasons with the same issue.

Actually no, I made my point in the wrong thread. I should have made it in the Lukaku thread where people bring up his age as an issue too. With Kane, I do think the age makes things trickier given the history. Not with Lukaku

Lukaku probably has the ankles of a 70 year old at this stage, with all the extra weight he's carried around on them.
 
He's a good player, but doubt he would pass a medical with those ankles. It's not just the fact that they are more likely to keep failing, but he is likely to get arthritis sooner rather than later as the joint will not be tight.

He's signed up for 4 more seasons. Levy holds all the cards. He's basically done what Shearer did and swapped a more certain chance to win trophies with the less certain chance of winning one with his boyhood club.

In a way I feel sorry for him. A great player who is a proven goal scorer who is now in his peak but playing under Mourinho.
