Haaland or Mbappé

Juventus, Dortmund and us were in his breakout season for Monaco.

Liverpool, Bayern and Real Madrid were in the group stages in which PSG took 1 point. Only vs United was it a meaningful knock out game, which they flopped the second leg and went out anyway(start of Ole at the wheel?)

So he does show up in the big games then, yes?

Juventus, Dortmund, City, United, and now Barcelona. I'm struggling to see your 'flat track bully' argument here.

Perhaps we should just leave it at you prefer Haaland, which by the way is not an unreasonable position. :)

Last night was the first time for PSG he's made a difference vs a big team in a meaningful champions league game. He's never performed better for PSG than he did for Monaco in this competition. So yeah since signing for PSG he's been flat track. Needs to play like last night consistently and PSG might then win the whole thing.

Whilst Halaand has scored vs EVERY opponent he has faced.

Haaland is an out and out striker. Mbappe is a forward.

Personally think Mbappe is a better fit and a better player. Haaland is a better striker. But his clumsy control and playing in an open sometimes counter attackish Dortmund doesn't fully show how he'd perform on our team.

With Mbappe the fit is clear. PSG gets the same kinda treatment in France that we get here. Parked buses.

So we know he can work here perfectly. On Haaland, we are banking on his immense talent to carry him thru the difference in styles.

The bigger flop risk is Haaland.

It doesn't matter about fit, Mbappe has turned us down before, doesn't want to come here now, would cost over 200mil and has Real Madrid written all over him.

Halaand is younger, half the price and could actually be convinced to come here. Also an out and out striker is exactly what we need.

Well, if we don't have a choice then the whole discussion is moot.

I believe the whole thread was predicated on having a choice btw the 2. Anyway, like I said. I'd take either. Just prefer Mbappe from.a playing point of view.

The question of the thread isn’t who would come, personally doubt either will .
Question is who would you prefer. I think Mbappe is just better all round. He’s also a better fit for how we play. Though Haaland would be a very good second choice. IMO

Maybe, maybe they are voting more on which is most achievable.Mbappe has a decision to make now though with his contract situation and if Madrid can’t afford him this summer, does he extend at PSG, does he walk away for nothing to Madrid next summer or does he consider other options.
Haaland and Dortmund don’t have that pressure and he could quite easily stay another year, as long as Dortmund are willing to lose out and let his clause kick in next summer, which might be Haalands preference to give him a stronger position with more options.

That was then, we've since won 2 (possibly 3) Premier Leagues, Pep re-signed, Madrid & Barca look weaker than they have for ages and most clubs have been crippled by the cost of the pandemic. I agree he probably wants Madrid, but weirder things have happened.

If he comes here, he gets the best league, best manager, best squad, best defence, best English player, best youngster in the league, best owners, best finances. We're not the ugly girl at the dance anymore.
 
after watching Mbappe last night i believe he would be the best striker in the prem by a mile, i would fear that he would improve any side that he goes to, why would PSG sell him like us selling Foden no chance.
