Erling Haaland

If we lose Sergio Fernandinho because there contracts up there wagers be around 700/800k a week maybe get Mendy of the books sell Mahrez our yearly wage bill won’t take a big hit.

I wouldn't go that far. Sergio and Fern would be less than £400k between them per week.

I don't envisage either will be leaving this summer if they accept lesser deals.

Fern defo chance of joining coaching staff.

I'd say if we could get Haaland and Messi for combined wages of £1m-per-week, the club would still be doing very well?

We have been fortunate to buy key players that have given us ten years service and delivered the goods.

However, the market has moved on out of all recognition for the truly elite players during this time, hence why we have been able to tread water for a considerable while longer than some of our rivals, courtesy of Dave, Vinny, Sergio, Yaya and Zabba.

We have not had to come correct to the market for a long time, so could avoid the 'going rate' for comparable talents and replacements.

We are moving into a new cycle of strategic planning and that is going to take the type of cash that will undoubtedly make eyes water for plenty.

If somone is good at their job, you pay them whatever it takes, should it be able to solidify a dominant position in the marketplace.

Our club has done an amazing job this last decade limiting their exposure due to signing players just below the waterline that had a high ceiling to improve and ultimately become world class at City.

Now is not the time to shirk, nor feel compelled to defend City's supposed self-righteous stance on not overpaying, how we would be perceived to the wider public for turning on the oil taps again.

The time has come. The financial reality is upon us, we must use our strength to take advantage during the current economic climate, when some of our rivals are weaker.

If we have to pay £500k a week to both Messi and Haaland, then we must not hesitate.

And that also goes for making sure KDB and Sterling are given hefty increases, you find the monies.

Buying such players would cost you £150m a pop, so show them the fucking money.

I can tell you the Club are very excited about some of the stuff they have on the go for the summer, there is an acceptance we have been biding our time, but strike we now will.

I can't wait.
Have discussions been had ....is Haaland open to the idea

I think that’s the problem though, isn’t it?

Unless i’m mistaken, most transfer info on this site comes from the City side?

City can get as excited as they like, they can think they have everything “boxed off”, they can be “relaxed” about as many situations as they like.. but it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

Look at last summer with Messi, I don’t doubt your info that City/Abu Dhabi thought they had Messi and everything may have been agreed, but other factors come into play and it turns out we were never even close to signing him, he had accepted that he had to stay at Barca whilst people on here were celebrating the signing.

I think the same will happen with Haaland.. I think we will think he’s ours, he’s “boxed off” and we will be calm, then just like with the likes of Jorginho and Sanchez, things will be going on on the other side and we’ll miss out.

Lol, that is poor business if we are paying whatever it takes.

Never even close to Messi? Wild exaggeration perhaps.

As for Jorginho & Sanchez, what about all of the transfers that we did pull off? Or do you think no one was interested in the likes of Aguero, KdB or either Silva's just for starters?

Messi was the closest he ever was to leaving last summer.

We had a plane on stand by and his family's bags were packed.

The only thing which stopped it was the legalities of his contract perception.

I only ever hear things from the City side of things, mate, admittedly, but I'm still sure they retain a decent grasp of how the land lays most of the time, even if they aren't for sharing or briefing off the record steers on a daily basis.

In view of the fact that the club attracts so much criticism and bitterness from the rag and dipper loving media whores. we might as well spend big to get our targets and fuck all the inevitable flack which follows.

Enjoy the piss boiling .

Thought sergio was on the highest wagers at city?

Well our Bonuses must pay well.

This is from the Dortmund side of things, but apparently Mino wants 10 to 20 million commission if Haaland is to leave Mino sees Haaland as a big pay check. such as if you activate the release clause next summer agent fees still have to be payed from Dortmunds side Mino wants 30 to 40 percent of the transfer fee. Dont shoot the messanger been talking to a dortmund fan who knows going ons at the club. this is what hes said.

"Dortmund are scared that if they dont get champions league there will be a fire sale , finaces have been hit hard behind the scenes because of covid. The Haaland fee would compensate the club massively. The first player that will be sold this summer is Jadon hes gone i think we said no to united last summer as we agreed a deal of 95 mil plus addons to take it to 115 million euros but they came back last minute and tried to get rid of the addons so we told them to do one"

"If City want Haaland 100mil plus or Dortmund wont talk reason really is Mino, he wants 20 to 40 percent commision on any sale, Dortmund are kinda relaxed if he leaves as we are after Matthew Hoppe as the replacement or Brian Brobbery of Ajax. Dortmund really like Hoppe the kid is something else 11 matches played 5 goals hattrick in his first game in a shit schalke side, fast and his finishing is Luis suarez like if Haaland goes i will miss him playing for my club but Hoppe looks like he could make me forget quickly. Thats all the info i have enjoy this season mate hope you win the champions league for the first time think youve finally got the squad to do it"

Surely we have to balance the FFP books so can only pay so much? If others suck in more revenue (united for example) then they can pay more so its no surprise that we'll lose plenty of targets, as we did with many over the past decade of transfer-mania on here.
