no - that's nowhere near where the new rule states offside begins. It's at the shirt sleeve or upper arm, not the shoulder. Rules. Offside by the rules. Get over itView attachment 11641
that’s the original line they put in. Realised that’s onside then carried on moving it down
Ya, it's crazy. Leaning should have nothing to do with it.Worst line I've saw the VAR draw, that's just not where his shoulder is.
Think the rules have to change to any body part being level and then if it's tight under that rule you can give offs
Gangrene? Why is his right hand not red? Fucking stupid graphic
Acorn ElectronIs that MS paint?
They shouldn't be allowed to use the lines at all. They should look with their eyes and if it's not immediately obvious, then the goal should stand. Or they should go with what the linesman decided. It's supposed to be for clear errors, not forensic investigation into every decision.
It's all subjective anyway. Some players wear long sleeves. How do they decide in their cases? They just randomly decide a place where the upper arm starts.no - that's nowhere near where the new rule states offside begins. It's at the shirt sleeve or upper arm, not the shoulder. Rules. Exactly so it’s more to the point that the rules are stupid cause you can’t score with your upper arm they’d take the goal away.no - that's nowhere near where the new rule states offside begins. It's at the shirt sleeve or upper arm, not the shoulder. Rules. Offside by the rules. Get over it
Too right - think we got a two second replay from the worst camera angle and then the quickest restart on record.I’m still wondering where the same scrutiny was given when Salah scored against us last season!
Thanks I’ve learned something tonight.the rules state it was offside.
it was offside.
If the rules are wrong, that's a bigger debate.
As soon as the lino flags - it becomes a case of clear and obvious error. That wasn't a clear and obvious error.
Well yeah, that was some bullshit they came up with afterwards even though they don't have the technology to back it up. But VAR was first sold to us as a way of eliminating glaring errors.Clear and obvious not an issue for offsides. We are told they are black and white decisions. Binary. Off or on
No clear and obvious on Line callsthe rules state it was offside.

This is an argument I can get behind. Until they’re running “offside cameras” at much higher frame rates and showing us the frame before and after (like cricket) then they need to allow a much bigger margin of error.
Holland already does with an “umpires call” type of solution.
But both linos gave them offside today and at least var gave us one back. Without it we score one less.
Is it not also leaning to left a bit too or is it just a trick of the eye? Well BT weren't wrong when they said other teams have had those, I just get the feeling they wouldn't have bothered chalking it off if we'd already have been 2-0 up. Who would have complained if that was ruled onside in all seriousness? The purple line is half way dow his arm
