Where to start with that one? Really good to bounce back with 5 goals after last weekend and credit Southampton for having a go. I usually don't call out refs, but fuck me that was a totally inept performance by Moss and VAR. Totally, totally useless. Aside from the penalty on Foden, Jon Moss got so many other easy decisions completely wrong - fouls, throw-ins - you could see the players getting pissed off and frustrated at him. At one point after Moss didn't give a foul on Dias, our CB turned round and told Moss to "fuck off"! That's the spirit Ruben.

Some good points tonight (goals and movement), some bad points too (some slack passing and caught in possession a lot), shout out to Mahrez, Foden, Gundo and nice to see KDB looking better. But as to VAR......what is the fucking point if it cannot pick up on howlers like that tonight? I truly wish it would fuck off.

But another game ticked off.....3 more points.....onwards to Fulham. Not all was brilliant tonight and some of that was down to Southampton, but on the whole well played City.

Correctly Moss is getting shit for his shite performance but the penalty incident may have been difficult to see. The real corruption comes from VAR who have replay after replay showing the most blatant of fouls. It is inexplicable how that was not given a penalty. And don’t get me started on that bellwhiff Hinchcliff...
Not giving moss the benefit of the doubt here because I don't think this was his train of thought - but if he blows the whistle there while Phil's getting back to his feet, then Phil scores - does he have to pull it back for a pen?

Either way, this shouldn't be an issue as he can let play continue and has the benefit of a VAR team who should let him know it was a clear penalty, fuck knows why they didn't.

....and one other thing. A telling statement in Pep's comments afterwards. Less rotation from now. Strongest XI gets picked. People will need to get used to sitting on the bench. Maybe not a bad thing coming into the business end of the season.

how it would have been dealt with in rugby union.....

" Martin,on field decision is goalie played the ball and no contact. Can you see anything that would change that decision ?"
Ok Mossy, on field decision no pen. Got 2 angles to show you. Just see wether goalie in attempt to regain the ball makes forceful contact with blue players left foot ?
Yes, can see that now Martin, so are we agreed change on field decision to a pen and yellow card to goalie ?
Agreed Mossy, penalty blue and yellow card to goalie.
Thanks Martin.

All of that would be viewed and heard on TV.
So easy isn’t it. Why wouldn’t we move in that direction?!?

Good walker was awfull laporte still looks rusty , aguero still not there yet.

We all know it’s wrong but you’ve got to make the ref make a decision. By staying on his feet, Phil made it easier for Moss.
He fell as a result of the contact Rammy it was just he recovered too quickly to attempt to keep the play going.

I think Moss just stuffed up pure and simple I don't think Foden made it easier for Moss in truth and as some have suggested if he stayed down Moss might have booked him for diving.

Unless Moss was on the take he clearly believed no contact was made as bizarre as that seems so staying down might not have changed his thoughts about what happened.

Pathetic from Moss really no excuse as he should have been in a position to see the trip.

Surely you don't believe what you have just written!

"The benefit of a VAR team who should have let him know it was a clear penalty, fuck knows why they didn't"

How long have you been a blue? It happens week in week out. Has done for years. We all know why. The game is bent to fuck. That display by Moss tonight was as corrupt as it gets. Look at Fernandinho's face when he is booked.

Wait for the latter stages in CL, then it seriously goes up a gear. Lahoz or Felix Brych anyone?

Really happy with the 3 points it was really important to bounce back after Sunday.
Don't really know where to start with the game, Started off very poor and sloppy on the ball we seemed to only really get going the start of the second half when we had our two goal cushion.
Negatives today would be Walker was very poor throughout the game, Defensively we looked like we could be got at on far too many occasions. Positives, Phil Foden performance done everything bar score a goal for himself which he deserved, Fernandinho again was excellent, Riyad Mahrez yet again phononemial.
Main thing is the players should character after the defeat and we bounced back.

Jon Moss is also a fat bastard, VAR corrupt as fuck. Bent twats.

Nice to see KDB score two goals after all the slagging off he got on here at the weekend. All players have off days now and then, and his assist stats speak for themselves. He’s a class player!

It was a strange game as for quite a lot of it I thought Southampton were really good. I've not seen a team dominate the opening 15 mins or so against us for a long while. I do rate their manager though and I can see him moving on to a bigger club next season.

I thought a few players looked understandably rusty though. I think we were carrying too many rusty players - Laporte, Walker, Fernandinho and KdB haven't played much and I thought it showed to be honest. Not that they played badly, just looked a bit rusty. I think Stones, Cancelo, Rodri and Foden would've improved the team quite a bit. It's hard for Pep as he has to keep the team fresh, but also needs to keep a settled team. I'm not a fan of rotating players to be honest.

If you were a neutral it was probably a great game - 7 goals, 1 disallowed, VAR controversy and just lacked a sending off.

Of course, the Foden penalty was as clear as day. I genuinely cannot understand what angle you look at to see that as no penalty. It's blatant corruption in my eyes that, no question. If the keeper had done that challenge in midfield he gets booked. He took Foden out, didn't touch the ball and anyone who cannot see that should not be allowed in the VAR box again.

I was hoping for a bit of a "bounceback" after the united game and truth be told, I was a bit disappointed. The goals we conceded - and have started to concede lately - have a touch of the "last season" about them. I do hope it's just a blip and partly because Dias/Laporte haven't played together much and Laporte is still finding his feet. I've not been that impressed with Laporte since he's been back from injury and I do wonder if there's something not quite right with him. He doesn't look the same player to me.

Anyway, 3 points and we can potentially be 17 up on united by the time they play!

Yes, I've just shat in one and posted it...nice and runny
LOL I hope he mistakes it for some curry sauce and licks it to his bent hearts content.

Hopefully the smell is long gone by then.

He was given us nothing but nice and runny stuff today its only fair being the kind person you obviously are that he gets a decent gift from you for the wonderful effort he put in today.
