Sorry I don't agree with the way it's going to be honest, it's discrimination.
Nonsense. It’s a discussion on vaccine passports for international travel. The only way it can safely open up. Don’t want a vaccine that’s fine but these are the consequences of that decision.

Can any one here tell me time thhe vaccination slots are released every day. I have been trying for 2 days to get an appointment without success.

I dont really see a problem with it. If you want to go away and share small areas with hundreds of other people, get jabbed. If you don't want a vaccine, stay at home.
If you don't see a problem with it then you're already too far gone mate.

It's not necessarily what the one certificate says (although any repurcussions from having/not having one are tantamount to discrimination), it's the potential for abuse it carries.

The government have seen exactly what they can get away with in terms of directly impacting your civil liberties, and if you think a government will simply give up that power then you're delusional.

Today you're getting asked for a vaccination certificate, tomorrow you're getting asked for your papers.

I suppose you're the kind of person that is ok with people's emails being accessed, conversations being recorded etc. on the basis that 'nothing to worry about if you've nothing to hide?'

With a pandemic the like of which the whole world has never seen before there has to be a new way to control the virus, getting jabbed and carrying a passport is a small price to pay. It's not discrimination, it's a reward for helping combat the disease. Those that won't get the jab because they are nutters, tough fucking shit. Those that can't because of health reasons should shield and carry a proper medical exemption card but unfortunately they will have to miss out on travel and possibly mixing in pubs, clubs, shopping centres, etc. They shouldn't anyway because surely their health is more important to them.

From what I've seen it's done differently at different places. I got my shot via the national system and could book both jabs at the same time, so at least 12 weeks ahead. My wife has been given a link to the local CCG system and had 4 places to choose from, one had 5 min slots for just the next day and nothing after, one had 5 min slots for up to a week ahead.

i have a major problem with a non-mandatory vaccine and a passport/ID system effectively legislated by business (internal UK, not talking cross border travel). You're allowing folks to choose whether to be vaccinated, as throughout UK history, and then creating a two tier society in which people can operate and function. This is willful segregation is it not? surely just make the bloody thing mandatory?

and surely there are further ramifications of employment, why should pubs and concerts allow this verification of existence while the NHS, care homes, even banks etc not do it, and if they did surely there'd be large scale problems. It's extremely poorly thought through, in my opinion.
Sorry but anyone working in a care home or the NHS must have the jab. Only someone with extreme allergic reactions to jabs, an illness where the recipient can't be jabbed, or pregnant (temporary exemption) has an excuse.
The reality for these people is having the jab breaks the "duty of care" clause in their contracts.

Asked for your papers? It's not Nazi Germany for fucks sake.

Being in tip top shape but stuck in my flat wouldn't be worth it imo.

so if youve been dealt a shit hand in life, and you cant get vaccinated, you should now not go to pubs, events, nice holidays nothing, just simply exist until you expire?

Well a few months ago the conspiracy weirdos were branded nuts for saying vaccine passports would happen.
Yet here we are a year on and it looks like they will become mandatory for travel, work and going out.
Everyone should have the vaccine of course but I find it disturbing that the authorities are saying to everyone you have to get jabbed or else. This isn't right.

I'm more concerned of dickheads refusing the vaccine and wishing to spread Covid around the world.

That's the whole point of the vaccination program, once it's rolled out to the majority of the population tip top shape people like yourself can get out and enjoy life, hopefully with all the freedoms we are used to, after the 21st June.

Yep, until a vaccine that is suitable is approved which probably won't be long, existing is what we have been doing for 12 months, a little while longer won't hurt.

It looks like you almost got the point I was trying to make.

It's not Nazi Germany, you're right. But governments don't simply give up power. Today's government has learned what it's able to do without repercussion, and it's not unreasonable to wonder what the next thing you'll be required to prove on demand is. And the next. And the next.

that's a really sad way to look at life. But your opinion i guess.

From what I can see only people with severe anaphylactic reactions and pregnant women are just about the only ones unable to get the vaccine. It really is a small proportion in the former group.
