Load of bollocks that, not reading it but basically saying a Club cant invest to put it on a level playing field with the top sides and then basically match the spending patterns to remain at the top.

Our recent spending has been more sensible and productive than that of our rivals!
The money quoted as spent by our owners since 2008 includes the purchase price of the club (£210m) and at least £300m spent on infrastructure (all exempt from FFP). If you include infrastructure investment as part of spending than we must have spent less than Arsenal and Spurs for starters. It is just the usual fake news.

Check out the champions league reaction on BBC app - 2 pieces by Simon Stone - one saying that Rags are the most stable squad in Europe and that they will win the league soon - second that The Rags have 1.1 billion supporters and followers. Why is this in a reaction thread to the champions league? They are not in the competition. It’s a fucking joke that this man gets paid by us to do Rag propaganda
world's population is 7.7 billion. Does he really believe that 1.1 billion support united! Why they aren't ridiculed for their ridiculous claims i'll never know.

Cheers, I know what RTE is, I’m a frequent visitor to Bray/Dunlaoghaire. I just didn’t realise they would show CL when Virgin/BT do. I’ll know for future though ;-)
RTE are as biased as the british media ,maybe even worse. If City are playing barcelona in the group stages on the same night as liverpool play dynamo steelworkers union from ukraine, guess what match gets shown ???

Afraid not. I am not normally bothered by his bias but I have complained. It’s just not on we pay for him to write this propaganda
Proper little fanboy is Stone. Remember when Pep first joined and his first words were "Welcome to Manchester utd...err sorry, City." .......like that was a fucking mistake.

Na, the 30th May 1999 was one of the best, most pivotal days in my City supporting life, the Rags winning the treble faded into history that day.
Anyone who was in Manchester the night of the Wigan semi would not have believed their was any other side in Manchester. The only impact of the up coming Champions League final was City fans waving Bayern flags. The celebrations of us getting to the third level play off final exceeded any rag celebrations. Awful football wonderful times.

A quick reminder that Jonathan Wilson is a **** who supporters Blunderland. It's little wonder that he sounds and writes like he hates football. A cold, wet fish of a writer who has all the flair of Sean Dyche on the piss.
What’s he done/said now?

Stone is a sort of parody journalist. A real-life Alan Partridge figure in sports media. I notice that on Twitter he is being relentlessly mocked by United fans for his pro-Glazer propaganda about United having a "sustainable squad." It would be funny if he wasn't being paid by the taxpayer. There appears to be no quality control of the BBC's sports content online.

That is paraphrase though, he was quoting a report from CIES( who). We should not copy the failings of the media by distorting stuff or we are at the same level.

The FIRST TIME MANURE women play at The Swamp gets a column inch in the DT this morning. Anything, that has a MANUre label is deemed to be pertinent to the joy of nations. Next week there will be two column inches and the world will hold its collective breath to be informed that the grass has grown since the last game.

PS: Does Casey know that her girls will have to wear wellies?
It is going to be THE news of the week until Saturday when a huge number of women brave the mean streets of Salford to have a vigil outside the so called Theatre of Dreams.
Liverpool lawyers are seeking a copyright injunction over the use of candles.

They don't give in do they? It really is incessant. They never post comments about the money other clubs have spent.
As United have shown you can spend millions but if you buy the wrong player or can’t knit those egos into a winning system then you end up winning nothing.

You could say the same about Everton who haven’t been shy about spending the cash

It’s a skill to do this which we never get credit for

It's an organised attack to try and discredit us/wear us down.
Ignore it.

Never any mention of other clubs spending. Net spend (just in case anyone is after Liverpool's title) last 3 years

Villa £230m (in only 2 seasons)
Fulham £144m
City £204m
United £235m
Spurs £160m
Chelsea £183m
Liverpool £133m
Arsenal £221m

We are hardly blowing away other teams in the transfer market!

My understanding is that some of those comments, posed as fan commentary, are actually made up by the staff in order to get the propaganda in.
