Numbers are so low now anyway that the weekend factor is fairly irrelevant as opposed to the way it used to be.
Yes I agree.

I'm not keen on "day reported" so have followed "date of death", and "date of test" numbers, even though these were still a bit skewed by weekends, but less than "reported".

In any case there is no doubt that however we look at the data, the news is good, and little or no sign of any school return "spike" as yet, with more school holidays soon approaching.

GM Weekly Pop Scores after today:~

Borough / Score Today / Score 7 days ago / up or down wk to wk/ Testing is % of local population who have tested positive for Covid over past year.

As ever with Pop scores going up is bad, going down good - the higher the number the better or worse depending on direction moving. The Pop Score is total cases in past week versus 100,000 POPulation to even out the comparison versus size and expected cases based on numbers living there.

Tameside 123 / 113 / UP 10 Testing positive 7.8%

Salford 116 / 115 UP 1 Testing positive 8.7%

Rochdale 104 / 122 / down 18 Testing positive 9.2%

Wigan 101 / 98/ UP 3 Testing positive 8.6%

Bolton 101 / 103 / down 2 Testing positive 8.7%

Oldham 97 / 98 down 1 Testing positive 9.4%

Manchester 94 / 87 / UP 7 Testing positive 9.3%

Stockport 85 / 98 / down 13 Testing positive 6.9%

Bury 77 / 88 down 11 Testing positive 8.8%

Trafford 43 / 69 / down 26 Testing positive 6.7%

Looking better week to week as many places down today.

Tameside still not turned the corner and top of the tree sadly.

Wigan doing better in recent das recent days and not a real concern now.

Salford has been having a few high scores this week but is mostly flat.

As for Trafford well and truly back and halved its pop score in a week after the little hiccup. 43 is the lowest GM Pop score since last Summer. Bury and Stockport starting to look more like their old low scoring selves.

Trafford is on 100 cases only in the past week - if it scores 21 or less tomorrow it will be the first GM borough to have less than 100 cases in a week since July.

Bury at 148 not far ahead. Also its lowest since last Summer.

Manchester at 506 has the most weekly cases but that is way below what it was scoring a few months ago. Around 3000.

the schools seem to be coping well.

they let him back in on Tuesday if he gave a negative test. Said rules changed that day. 17 were off after a few wrong lateral flow tests.
That’s good, mine’s off until next Wednesday. Only 2 kids allowed in from his class, other 28 at home and the home learning has been shite. Just 2 lessons a day. When all were off they got quality full 6 hour day. I’ve asked what they’re doing about it but yet to get response. Almost like they hadn’t planned for it. He goes back for 3 days then off for a fortnight, he’s really down and struggling. Sending them all home on back of lateral flow was scandalous

A city supporting friend of mine attended Cheltenham with some work friends last year. Has since been working from home. He has been proper vocal about everyone sticking to the rules. So this week the 4 of them who went to Cheltenham are all hosting a day when the other 3 come round to watch the racing.

To be honest I was looking forward to getting my 1st jab in April, fuck knows when it will be now.
I have plans for the summer and a holiday abroad in October but I have doubts on everything now if as they say they will implement vaccine passports and you could be barred entry from places.
The people in 20s / 30s / 40's will be shut out of the summer the way it's going and I don't think that's right.
I don't trust a word this goverment says anymore to be honest.

You said recently that you'd already cancelled your October holiday?

Has anybody else who has recovered from covid had the Convalescent Plasma Donor Eligibility Test?
I did and got my results back last week, at 24.5 U/ml.. you need to have been above 65 U/ml to donate.
I tested positive at the end of January and only had minor symptoms(had that weird taste and smell but didn't lose taste or smell completely).

I noticed a lot of people who work from home get on the high horse about sticking to the rules

But people who can't just get on with it
