Bit of a nothing story isn't it? We have the fat tramp down here lying in parliament everytime he attends and Sturgeon it appears forgot about an earlier meeting during eight hours of testimony.

I caught up with Newsnight on Iplayer and it was the leading story, who honestly gives a fuck?

That's an interesting point, but I suppose BJ has always been a liar so he pretty much gets away with it, certainly more than if he were to claim to be honest.

The public just now seem to be quite quick to backlash and driven by Not wanting, rather than wanting, if that makes sense.

I honestly believe that if this is continued to be pushed with the obvious agenda, by the media and opposition, they will suffer for it. They might even push it as far as getting Nicola resigning, but the snp support will surge in backlash, and they will end up with a higher majority, with a less moderate (likely less capable and patient) leader, with less to answer for in terms of everything Sturgeon is currently carrying from the last 6-7 years.

If it is 'left alone' and by that i meant as a typical internal assessment that all high profile cases go through, without the political angle fuss, the SNP will do enough to dilute their own very strong position. It is likely they may still have a majority, but a very slight one, or possibly even the largest party but without a majority, and with an 'easy target' leader in Nicola, who is more moderate, a known quantity, less divisive than others.

The Tory party.

I'm not sure this will be enough for her to go. I think you are seeing now the SNP being subjected to the same dark arts as Corbyn/labour were. The aim will be a drip drip of damage and negativity rather than creating a sudden 'moment'. Much like Corbyn /Labour, a damaged and discredited Sturgeon staying in place may be more damaging than a resignation. I'm not a fan of this sort of thing btw, but it seems to be the snide way in which the political world operates.

100% agree. That is pretty much where i was going with it. They can do just enough damage without swinging too far and tipping the momentum. Or if they push it too much, which they seem bent on, it'll likely smack them back in the face

The results of the review have been 'leaked' but have found her guilty by a single majority vote which has been along party lines. I mean what the absolute fuck.
I hope she toughs it out and strengthens the team round her after the May elections.

Ruth Davidson is a fucking disgrace as is Ross who isnt even a member of the Scottish Parliament. The hypocrisy of those two given the norm in Westminster is beyond belief and I sincerely hope they get wiped out in May. Davidson will be off to the House of Lords, Ross will have to be elected as an MSP - I hope the good folks of Moray fuck him off big time.

Rant over. Have a very pleasant day mate. Sorry for the language.

you are spot on.

Sturgeon found guilty of misleading parliament and the politicians are calling for her resignation.

Rabb...Jenrick...Hancock....Patel...Johnson doing it on a weekly basis.

Silence.

This is partisan bullshit.

She's a threat to the Tories and their media chums. So knives out!

I'm not her biggest fan by far but she's doing something right irking the corrupt bastards in charge of the UK.

You are right that's the way it operates in politics, they all do it. The question is do people think she's any better than the rest? There is no doubt in my mind that given a chance she would sweep under the carpet any allegation or wrong against or by her or the SNP just like Johnson or Starmer do with their parties. She's just another grubby career politician.

I know its a well trodden path but - firstly she needs only resign if the report says she "knowingly" or "deliberately " misled the assembly. If so she should announce she will quite in a co-ordinated mass resignation including these people

The comparison is false. Even if she was guilty of everything she is accused of x 10, she would still appear as George Washington compared to Johnson and what he and his friends have done to us.

A country “ready to take off its Clark Kent spectacles” and act “as the supercharged champion” of X, Y, Z. A country on stilts – pretending that we had a test and trace system that was head and shoulders above the rest of the world. A country performing U-turns on the teetering unicycle of Johnsonian buffoonery – A-levels, school meals, foreign health workers and more. A country of tumbling catastrophes. Trampolining absurdities. Go to work. Don’t go to work. A country proroguing parliament illegally here, trying to break international law there. Paying its citizens to “eat out to help out” in the midst of a lethal pandemic. A country testing its eyesight in lockdown by driving to distant castles with infant and spouse during a travel ban. A country whose leadership stitched up the NHS in the morning and then clapped for them at night. A country opening schools for a single day, threatening to sue schools, shutting schools. A country on holiday during its own emergency meetings. A country locking down too late; opening up too early. A country sending its elderly to die in care homes. A country unwilling to feed its own children. A country spaffing £37bn up the wall one moment and refusing to pay its own nurses a decent salary the next. A country doing pretend magic tricks with the existence of its own borders – no, there won’t be a border in the sea; oh yes there will; oh no there won’t; it’s behind you …. A country of gimmicks and slapstick and hollow, honking horns.

She has a great deal to do before she comes within a country mile ...

All the same. IMO anybody who wants to be a career politician has an ego too big for the job. Are we talking about policy disasters or integrity here Saddleworth? As an aside I also think there is a bit of a nasty vindictive streak to Ms Sturgeon, the blame the English and Westminster culture that she is so fond of but has worked hard and done well to disguise in recent times? The OTT celebrations accidentally caught on camera when Swinson lost her seat and the ardent nationalism and anti English discrimination in some of her policies all of which don't sit well with me. Can you imagine the uproar if Johnson was so brazen on similar issues? She's a tartan Farage!

But we are never going to agree on this as I guess you are a fully paid up SNP fan ? And these days I distrust and dislike all politicians.

I would say she is more of a threat to the Labour party than the Torries, as if she gets her way both Scotland and England will become one party states which would be disaster for both countries politically.

The irony in all this was Blairs Lab government gave her the devolution soapbox to drive her nationalism and destroy the labour vote north of the border.
