Sadly you are right
Technology is driving everything. It's a bit like much-loved High Street shops being wiped out by giants like Amazon. The bottom line is that football doesn't need UEFA . The clubs can control football themselves including the broadcasting. The only hope is that the backlash from fans and perhaps sponsors may force the Cartel group to soften their position and come up with a watered down version that guarantees the integrity of domestic leagues and safeguards their future.
Personally I could cope with UEFA being replaced by a new structure....but not one run by crooks like Agnelli, JW Henry, Kroenke, and the Glazers.

Chairman: Florentino Perez [Real Madrid]
Vice-Chairman: Stan Kroenke [Arsenal]
Vice-Chairman: Andrea Agnelli [Juventus]
Vice-Chairman: John W. Henry [Liverpool]
Vice-Chairman: Joel Glazer [Manchester United]

This exactly. How did we manage to sit on the table with these guys - A whole lot of them who complained about us to the UEFA too and somehow we thought well we should be a part of this.
Perez has just stabbed UEFA in their back. The red scums are awful and we don't even get a vice chairman representing us.
Ain't UEFA made up of these self serving assholes too ?
We don't have a problem with UEFA do we. We have problems with these members inside UEFA as well who were screwing us using the UEFA garb before and now want us to follow them to ESL with no distinctive advantage.
Because khaldoon much as he hates these cunts wants to beAt them
you can’t beat them and be the best team if they are playing each other And we are playing Leeds West Brom and palace every week
We will have a foot in each camp here

That's absolute bollocks.

That guy preserved the very existence of this club when he went to war with Uefa.

Khaldoon is generally the smartest man in every room he enters, so don't do him the disservice of suggesting we are suddenly grasping in the dark.

If we are involved, then they will have gamed out what they want to achieve as their end game.
You can’t not be involved if it’s happening
But best to tag along and let the others lead (the greedy wankers)
We don’t need the money!

Do you honestly believe the PL will kick out their top 6 teams were is their revenue going to come from. There will be a compromise
I've already said, yes.

Where is the compromise for the PL? What if scheduling conflicts with the PL season? Are the non-ESL teams just supposed to go along with it? There's no compromise for the PL other than expelling the teams that have agreed to join it.

Pipe dream. Why would there be a TV blackout when half the globe will still want to watch the biggest clubs in action?

The commercial reality is there would be more subscribers in the Far East and US, than the UK could ever muster.

JP Morgan don't just give money away. They probably already have the TV deals in place.

i really don't see how a europe super league would work for internationals clubs unless it runs a long side the premier league and other leagues in europe. if you are saying its going to replace midweek uefa champions league then ok i could take that. but any major movement in weekend league football then its crazy idea and pointless

i don't see the players wanting to give up international football and the chance of playing in world cups
football does need a review and changes to the fixtures list and without losing the league cup to the big clubs

maybe a 2 part season could be a option and playing right up to june and july and having a break in the winter
the league cups could be in the the first part and the FA cup in the 2nd part and champions league the same in 2 parts of groups then knockouts

so October to December then a winter break then march to july. plus in world cup year and qualifiers just move the 2nd part of the season to February to june

I have the utmost respect for the job Khaldoon has done, but let's not pretend he's got where he has in life without a ruthless streak. He has no loyalty to us as fans, or to the club's history. He is responsible for one thing only - keeping today's City, a global club, at the top table and maximising our slice of the pie, so that we make a profit for our owners and advertise Abu Dhabi.

What gives me hope is that I believe any breakaway from the domestic league is doomed to fail, and I hope he agrees. But what I don't appreciate is anyone playing poker with the future of our club. You can war game anything, sometimes it doesn't pan out. The risk of losing everything is far too great.

Sadly the stadiums will still be full. Just won’t be local fans but ones from China, India, etc.
Because

It won't be though will it. If locals turn their backs on it I'm sure plenty will flock to the games.

Also look forward to City v Barca in New York and shite like that
Not a chance. It doesnt happen now. Plenty of empty seats at every ground. Even at Madrid etc..

Without sounding political, the only way this stops is by having multiple Govt heads and FiFA going aggressive after these clubs and ideas. Only then these will stop. People may or may not support government in power but they have power to change the course.

This going ahead would make the premier league pretty worthless. What's the point in Leicester or villa celebrating winning the Premier league when the only reason they won it is because the big clubs left? Winning the league is about being the best in the country - they wouldn't be.

Unfortunately it wouldnt, Agnelli is the leading figure in this breakaway league - the same guy who said Atalanta did not deserve to be in the champions league even though the qualified legitimately via league position
