Everyone at City will lose my respect if this materialises that we are working with Perez, the Glazers, Henry, and Kroenke to get this going and that it could/will fucking ruin domestic football.

We have gone along with it, if we have, because if we don't we'll be where we were pre the takeover on the outside looking in with no chance of joining the party ever. We'll be nieve though if we think they won't screw us over with the so called history clubs getting a bigger piece of the pie so we're in the league but with little chance of winning it.

Quite clearly there is much more money in elite football than what Uefa is happily sharing between clubs and that position is heavily attacked by the small elite which we are part of now.

Uefa themselves were working on a new forat due the pressure, now elite is cranking up the pressure possibly as they are not happy with the changes from Uefa.

I tihnk current CL format is past it, top clubs simply dont want to bankroll the champions of Slovakia, Andorra etc.
These matches has as match sporting value as England-San Marino international games.

My guess we've been told this is a one time offer to join and we won't be asked again. Plus the figures being quoted are £425M to join then £4.6B per year between 20 clubs works out at £230M a year plus TV and gate receipt money far outweighs what a club gets in the champions league now.
