Clubs have started to leave The ECA and club chairmen and executives have resigned from their UEFA roles. This is going to happen

i hope they do , let the "big 6" fuck off and play there plastic games , kick them out of the league , carry on the prem and champions league as normal , most football fans wouldn't give a fuck if the big 6 fucked off.
Tbh after all this ,city included i would be happy for them too as well, the commercialisation of football is killing it .
This will be the pinnacle of it tbh.
Its disgraceful to the likes of west ham and Leicester who have worked there asses off to be in with a shout of the champions league .

As people have said i dont see how this can coincide with league football ,as there is no incentive any more to finish top 4 or top 6 .
If it does go ahead ,ill try and find a local non league club to support .

(presuming the national leagues boot the 12 clubs from domestic competitions). If FIFA really do ban players from those 12 from playing in the World Cup then we are going to see top players leaving in droves - only the older (last payday types) will stick around and no up and coming talent will want to move to a SL club...

I think the ultimate idea is 20 teams. 15 founder members and 5 who qualify on merit each year.

There will be plenty interested in watching. Maybe not the traditional fans but the global viewing figures will be high.

I suspect it will the the CL that becomes the dead league.
 
Back in the day when Sky announced exclusive broadcasting rights I was working for a commercial photography printers just off Oxford Road.

One guy who worked there at the time, who must have been about 60, was utterly dejected that he couldn’t watch his club live on what we sadly now call “Free to Air”

He couldn’t afford Sky, and I can remember him walking out of the building shaking his head a broken man.

Wish I’d spent more time with him then as right now I know exactly how he felt.

If this goes through then my 46 year following Gods own club will come to an end.

Clouds and Silver linings, means I have to learn what a hockiest is but fishing and shooting are great fun, especially when you combine them....
 
Why are we helping those that sought to destroy us?? The old elite were screwed, the dippers and rags only aim recently is to make top 4 as we under current rules blew them out of the water. No we have thrown them and the others a life line and do we seriously think they will not try and dump on us again???

This isn’t about uefa or the owners of West Ham for example. We know other owners would do the same we know uefa are crap. What this is about is the fans. The fans don’t want it. It’s not an Everton fans fault that their owners would be as big a shits as ours or the rags. Even the fans of teams in it don’t want it.

A closed comp with the likes of glazers and funding by JP Morgan. Fucking really? Some supporters really need to get their heads around this. This will destroy working class fans love of the game around Europe, it will destroy league and domestic cups. And for what? So some players, agents and owners can go from very wealthy to even more wealthy. Wake the fuck up people please.
