Tbf, Perez and Glazer are apparently the "ringleaders" of the operation. I think atm the club doesn't have a definitive statement because prior they were pretty wishy-washy about the whole situation.

Do people seriously expect that a European franchise model would have two clubs from Manchester and for that matter two from Milan long term?

We should all know how US franchises are sold on. There was the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team that moved to Los Angeles. It happens all the time. The City franchise could easily be sold on to anywhere in Europe, or indeed anywhere in the World.

We are a decade ahead of all the others then with the CFG, every CFG club is essentially a franchise. We go in, change the badge, change the kit and give them access to facilities they couldn't even dream of.

The breakaway clubs want the money now - not in 2024. Can't see these proposals being enough to stop the ESL. UEFA will have to make much greater concessions and be prepared to give much more money and sooner to stop the ESL happening.

I don't have any love for UEFA. I don't have any objection to a shake-up of European football.

I do object to 12-20 teams deciding that they are the elite, can do whatever the frig they want, take all the money in the game, and tell hundreds/thousands of other professional football clubs with decades of history to sod off.

So do I.

But they are doing it and we had one decision: to be part of it or not. The Sheikh will not have thought twice about it. He's not in this because he went to York away or hates Man United. The fact that he's only been to matches once tells you all you need to know. He wants City to be the top club in Europe and after spending his billion quid or whatever we have to accept that.
