I wont ever stop supporting City, no matter what comp they are in.

but this will push me a little further away to the point ill give up my season ticket and just watch on the box (and they wont be getting a penny of that either... if you know what i mean ;) )
VAR, FFP, players cheating, fuckin awful ‘bantz’ ... its all turning me off the game totally.

this will just be another nail in that coffin

my lad is 6 and just getting into it, my oldest lad never got the bug (his first 6 games we never scored , thanks pearce) and i feel sad that we’ll maybe never share those moments together i always dreamed of
I understand you want to continue supporting the club you love. I just can't do it if this proposal gets the green light.

How many nails will it take before it's the final one? Enough is enough now for me. I'm disgusted with Manchester City even more disgusted they don't have a set of balls to release a statement to us fans to heart of the club.

It's disgusting.

Gone too far I think mate. Woodward resigning his position at UEFA and Ceferin's comments about Woodward and Agnelli appears to render the position of the clubs untenable within UEFA.

Now the mischievous side of me hopes that City signing the letter of intent is actually a ploy to get all these clubs who have officials in UEFA positions to step down from them - give 'em enough hope to hang themselves and all that - and that we're actually working in cahoots with UEFA to fuck them all over.
Ohh I like your thinking.

Oh yeah we can all just hop on a plane every other week for an entire season to watch us in Milan or Madrid.
Fuckin ludicrous.
Part of the fun of playing against other big european clubs was not being able to play them until the latter stages of the season annually, that's all eradicated now with all this bollox.
It's the owners I blame not the football club

Dead in its current money making format, but not dead overall.

Everton, West Ham, Newcastle, Leciester, Leeds, Southampton, Villa, Wolves all big clubs with 30k+ fanbases.

Then add the two Sheffield clubs, Nottingham Forest, Watford, Mboro, Burnley, Palace, Brighton, West Brom, Stoke, Blackburn, Derby, Sunderland, Portsmouth all with 20k+ attendances. It would actually be a great competitive league.
All teams that, if we are thrown out, we will never play again.

Let that sink in!

There are no words to describe how disappointed I am with the club upon the back of this announcement. This Super League is merely a cynical attempt to guarantee highly lucrative European football every season for an elite clique of clubs and their greedy owners without having to earn that right on the pitch. I hope The Premier League, The FA, UEFA and FIFA apply the most barbaric sanctions possible in an attempt to stop this.

I’ve supported City for nearly 30 years. I will terminate my support of the club if they proceed as planned.
How the fuck do you terminate your support ?

NEVER thought I’d say this...Gary Neville has more balls than my Club MCFC...I’m deeply ashamed to be a City fan, well, no I’m not..but this ISN'T City anymore, and I think we all know that now...gutted.

See Nevilles passioned speech below here.

Can't wait to see him on the gravy train commentating on games being show on Amazon. Happy to throw money into his own team that means they beat everyone around them and doesn't allow them to compete then goes crying to the masses when it happens elsewhere. Hypocrite.

You mean the Gary Neville who owns a lower tier football team that will be hurt by this proposal?

The old system was far from perfect and it granted us tremendous competitive advantage but it was still competitive. The task before was extremely tough for any team but it has now changed to impossible. Without the founding club nonsense I think a lot of City fans could have squared this but of course the founding club nonsense is the basis of the entire escapade
The governing body is corrupt, repeatedly tried to screw us over, and has blocked the creation of the ESL. We simply had no alternative other than to create our own.

So to make this clear; you are perfectly happy with a Champions League that has been putting into place an unofficial top four for years, perfectly happy with having a billionaire owner artificially inflate the club competitively through investment, perfectly happy with that owner being of extremely questionable moral character and being the Deputy Prime Minister in a state whose laws are from the 15th century in many social areas, and perfectly happy with us essentially bending the UEFA rules on investment to every possible degree?

All of that you'd continue on. But moving to a different European competition, now THAT'S your line? Not the fact that we had a Gulf state put a billion pounds into us to ensure our "competitiveness"? That didn't hurt the domestic league?

You're overreacting and I think that eventually you and many others will come to your senses on this whole thing. You might not like it but you'll get over it enough to continue.

Correct me if i am wrong but isnt this the first time a place in a competition will be based on something other than sporting achievements?

Think the issue most people have is that 15 clubs have decided that they deserve to be at the summit of world football from now until eternity because they currently have the most money/worldwide fans.

Yep im totally with you. But i cant just stop loving the shirt. Owners come n go. The badge remains.

id never get the same fix watching another team.

its all very sad isnt it

Yes, I partly agree re Ceferin and the warnings and he made the wrong call on that but I think City have equally made the wrong call on the SL, it seems to me to be a strategic error of judgement to be placing trust in the same clubs who've spent 10 years trying to shaft us.
It certainly looks like the wrong call at the moment. But what was the alternative? The UEFA CL proposals are terrible and also anti-competitive and damaging to the PL. I am hoping that negotiation on both sides comes up with a more palatable option. The cartel clubs were going it alone mostly because of greed but also because UEFA is not fit for purpose and is riddled with corruption. The broadcast and sponsor deals done by UEFA and FIFA have been bent for years with officials lining their own pockets. It is not a tenable organisation to govern football. We know that more than most.
