He's being honest. Football is in crisis with massive debts. So you use your power to screw the other clubs and then its up to regulators / government to decide if they wish to accept the new set up.

The fair solution is that if Barcelona have a debt mountain then they suffer as happened to Leeds, and then they come back in due course. But I am pretty sure that this has all been accelerated by the financial situation of clubs. Spurs and Man Utd have major structural problems. This is a way out.

They’re almost certainly tied up with massive non-disclosure agreements, with only authorised combined statements allowed when signed off by the super league board.
