He's being honest. Football is in crisis with massive debts. So you use your power to screw the other clubs and then its up to regulators / government to decide if they wish to accept the new set up.

The fair solution is that if Barcelona have a debt mountain then they suffer as happened to Leeds, and then they come back in due course. But I am pretty sure that this has all been accelerated by the financial situation of clubs. Spurs and Man Utd have major structural problems. This is a way out.
no he is not. Football isnt in crisis with massive debts, some clubs are, and a majority are fine cos they are inteligently financed for years.
Real and barca bot hhave over a billion euro debt Officially, and not counting the loans from private banks. Most english club are in good shape despite covid, same for bl, ligue 1, eredevisie etc.
This always was the story in football. Someone comes, invests, sometimes he wins, sometimes he doesnt, but eventually he leaves, and table turns.

No they won't, they won't be able to. That's the whole point of this abomination of a league.
The three Americans are the spearheads of this, they know how franchises work they are cosying up to one another and got each others backs, because they know together they can line their pockets for billions each. perez and barca are completely desperate for money, they'll go along with anything, giving perez the chairman role to make them feel important was a masterstroke. the Italian league has been in decline for 2 decades, this money enables those 3 to reestablish themselves as the dominant trio in Italy, that's their prize in this and they'll do what's needed to keep that advantage. Spurs are the hangers on just glad of the invite.

The two outsiders in this group are City and Chelsea. They didn't want either of us there really, we typically go against the earn as much money at all costs ethos but its much more cost effective to get us both on board than to have us on the outside potentially fighting this. Make no mistake though, we have no friends or allies at the table, arsenal Liverpool and United run this show, the rest fall in line and they'll shaft us or anybody else the second we fail to fall in line

We have been played like a fiddle by united, liverpool and the spanish clubs. Absolutely played like a fiddle.

we have just voted to remove our position as one of the most powerful clubs in the uk, with a future that only contains good news, and instead voted to make ourselves literally subservient to United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Madrid.

We’ve gone from winning 50% of the next 8 or 10 titles as well as god knows how many domestic cups to finishing mid table at best in this new league as there is no way the clubs that have been trying to cripple us for 10 years will suddenly now treat us as equals.

Played like a fiddle.

And the worst thing is, we weren’t just out manoeuvred - we bloody voted for it.

Voted to give our 5 biggest enemies in world football literal control over us.

How can ANY blue be anything other than 100% opposed to this?
We're just a shit man utd.

City are under them. Glazers, Henry, Perez are all executive members of this new league. No City representation.

This is insanity and id be under UEFA all day long.
Agreed about rather being under UEFA, surely they know what will happen if they should try to shaft us again.

On the other hand, what the fuck if the Glazers/FSG and that horrid twat Agnelli decided to go all out to dry bum us for whatever reason.

I no likee. Get us out rapid. If I had a Fiat, I'd set fire to it.

Exactly what it is. Carra admitted it earlier stating they had meetings with people at sky this afternoon. Sky are driving the narrative. Same way they do with everything. The aguero elbow anyone. Going on about it enough inevitably changes minds. They will suffer financially as a result and have the most to lose
Don't ever, ever use that phrase again ...

Excuse me what!

I know...16-24 year olds are losing interest, what can we do?

- We can get rid of relegation.
- Make games like tonight (Leeds-Liverpool) that should be exciting meaningless.
- We can make the fight for European spots meaningless.
- We can ensure the same 15 teams play each other every week.
- We can get rid of merit-based competition.
- We can get rid of 'banter' in the stadium by eliminating away fans...

What could go wrong?

No it doesn’t. They won’t kick anyone out, they don’t even have enough clubs to do so if my maths is right. Ever consider why 6 teams, not 4 or 5. Why Super
League gave Arsenal a seat at the table despite them not being deserving of one?
14 votes required for any PL changes 20 - 6 does it

Did he ask them personally?

This guy is full of shit
but isnt it absurd to talk about "fans" when he says they dont like football. if they re fans, they do like football. His definition of fan is "potential american customer"

Fucking hell

Our club is not only in bed with this **** but we're snuggled up close under the covers sucking his cock. I don't think I recognise us anymore tbh. Think I'm done with it. Love you lot though and I'll always be on here, but I'll no longer be a blue if this shite goes ahead. The last 10 years were fucking amazing.
