They’re just another set of Yank shysters.

They were one of the main, if not #1, player in the reason for the 2007 financial crash, they were bailed out for $188bn and only had to pay $13bn in settlements... and they are currently just finalising paying billions out in fines for something else.
Watch ‘The Big Short’.

I look forward to Bohemians being invited in so.
Haha, speaking of Bohs I'll be up near them soon so might catch a game, always happy to pay in at the turnstile at theirs, nice to see the Drogs back up and causing havok and Scumdalk back to their old selves :) Honest football.

For clarity, I’m not in favour of the ESL or any of the crooks behind it - but I completely reject the idea that agreeing to UEFA’s equally reprehensible stitch up in any way constitutes a morally superior route through all this.

Which seems to be the hopelessly simplistic view of a lot of people posting on here today are holding.

There is no ‘do the right thing’ given the two options on the table.
One is an invitation for certain specific (not necessarily deserving) clubs for ever and ever, the other follows a qualification route through the country's official top leagues.

So, it's either a pre-season type kick about for selected money grabbing shysters with a win-win, no relegation, lifelong club membership.... or it's a tried and trusted format, annual competition with the glory of qualifying, the top bollocks club prize at the end of it. Of the two, the former will be fab (not) in 3-5 years when certain teams have turned to shit and want to go back to whatever league they have binned off (or stay and get nobbed 5-0 every match). The latter as we are all aware is tried and trusted(ish) and we still get to boo the anthem.

As I said before, who would pay to watch say Arse or Spurs against AC or Inter Milan. Borefest central, I'd rather watch Leeds play their style of football, or City U23 or City Ladies for that matter.

I think we’re actually being trolled by fake quotes. Fallen for it myself.

At least I think that’s the case...

There's just too much meat on the bone for this to be real.

Where are these quotes supposedly coming from? A press conference? Seems unlikely at midnight in Europe.

What I cant believe is how the details of this breakaway has been kept secret to the players and management of seemingly all the teams so far, do we think Pep and the players will have been privvy to this before yesterday? Surely they would have been briefed?

Wednesdays going to be interesting anyway, shame it's not the game in the pitch I'm looking forward to though
If the players knew what the owners were going to do and all the billions involved KDB would have waited and held out for a LOT more!
Seriously I can only imagine Pep and the staff and players will be well pissed off!

Still fucking furious we've said yes, but finding out City and Chelsea only found out about this last week changes a lot. Those two clubs were given an ultimatum to make a decision that would instantly change everything, regardless of which decision was made, and told an answer was needed by sunday. I just hope to fuck the clubs are biding their time to grow the balls and say no. Fucking sorry for the twating about, but we were ambushed. I'm clutching a straws here, but if City and Chelsea came out together and went 'no', that would be class. We'll see. A moment of optimism in an otherwise shitty day.
