The club is really between a rock and a hard place here....

Go full steam ahead and join ESL - the shiekh/Kaldoon/soriano will see the £ and a huge short term cash boost, this is a business to the shiekh at the end of the day. But in essence we are supporting a number of our enemies in wiping out their debts and giving them full control over our time in Europe over the next 23 years!

Pull out - the right thing but we’ll never be truly forgiven by everyone for flirting with the idea. The cartel will also be out to get us in anyway possible in the future if we screw the ESL. We are also helping out many of the twatty clubs in the prem who wanted us banned last year - wolves, Leicester, fucking Burnley etc...we owe that mob nothing.

Cerefin’s olive branch this morning obviously is aimed at us, Chelsea and maybe Spurs. We can “break away” from the “break away clubs” with probably little more than a slapped wrist from uefa if we act quickly.

what a decision the club has to make in the next 24/48hrs. What a mess.

Perez’s ramblings last night show how crazy this idea is, he’s like a demented old man - living in the past with a sense of self importance. This is the leader of this project, it’s doomed.
I agree 100 per cent.If City and Chelsea were wavering surely the Perez interview last night must have convinced them this Superleague is a car crash waiting to happen. No sponsor will want their reputation put at risk by associating with a loon like Perez. Remember he has already destroyed Real Madrid one of the world's biggest clubs. His CV is not very good and he makes Javier Tebas look sane.
City should go to UEFA and say they'll come back if they look again at their crazy CL revamp plan which is almost as bad as the ESL one. The key priority must be to prevent a closed shop and protect domestic leagues.

I don’t see it that way.
City are in a position here where we can kill this League dead this morning by withdrawing. Given we weren’t one of the major players behind this, accepted late alongside Chelsea, etc, we can row back a lot easier than the likes of United and Liverpool who are involved at board level in the new ESL.

We know that, Uefa know that. Some power to hold hey? We can strengthen our hand within the game whilst damaging that of some of the teams we are trying to peg back.

Wouldn’t surprise me if this has all been gamed out by us. We must have known the shit storm this would create and what it would do to the game. Lob a few grenades in the room before we close the door as well.
Does that kill it stone dead?

If we pull the plug on this duper league. I would want written guarantees checked by lawyers that ffp is gone. Uefa need to give in order to receive.

City are still alive here...balotelli...agueroooooooooo

Do we know the implications of backing out and going back to UEFA? Punishment from PL & UEFA regardless due to initial sign up.

Sadly I think we're fcked whatever we do now.
No implications at all because for all intents and purposes we didn’t actually join anything and the UEFA Chairman spent all morning begging the clubs to change their minds and come back.

Because I think there is something else in play here. The fact Bayern and PSG didn't put their names to it yet, something doesn't smell right.
You’re right I think. Bayern especially are fucking devious and self-centred, if this goes ahead they will find a way to join. If it doesn’t go ahead no harm done for them.

The yanks are slime balls ,can't stand them anywhere near the game of football, they need to be driven out,if its not to late already ?
The spanish & italian clubs ,the word corrupt & bent springs to my mind when thinking about them.
I wouldn't trust any of that lot ,they are scum ,why would you want to get into bed with these vile imposters , they will eventually do the dirty on you city !
All the good work that the owners have done in the community , working with manchester council on projects has been undone at this present time.
A message to the owners, grow some balls ,change your mind.
Listen to the fans of mcfc, you always said you would ?
Make us proud ,not ashamed !

The more I think about this, the more I'm moving away from being ashamed of my cub.

Of all people, Jamie fucking Carragher said something last night that resonated.

He said that this isn't City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham - this is individuals using our clubs' names to get what they want - more power and money.

There isn't a Liver bird, a red rose, a devil, a cannon or a lion sat in a boardroom doing this - there is a cock representing Tottenham but you get my drift.

I don't want to wash my hands with City because the club that I watched lose 1-3 to Shrewsbury Town in 88, the yellow and blue shirts I watched at Wembley in 99, the Kippax that I stood on to watch us win a derby in 89, the pitch I invaded after the Wigan match, the conga-line I joined at Ewood Park in 2000 or the Poznan I danced to when Yaya scored didn't decide to join the Super League, a person did.

Really hope that someone from City is on the phone to someone at Chelsea right now and for the sake of all fans of every club (bar the remaining 10) we do the right and proper thing.

Pull out now

We either need to be first or a joint statement with Chelsea if we are the two teams.

Not getting there first with this will make it even worse.
