Good on them, wish we could do something similar!
Yep. This is an ongoing coup, and at the very least United, Arsenal, Liverpool and the Spanish teams are not fucking about. That isn't letting us off the hook, and it doesn't mean the coup will be successful, but this isn't a power move, and if we've gone into thinking that's all it is then we are fucking naive.Resignations, contracts signed, club silence. The writing is on the wall.
I meant in terms of quality on the pitch. Not sure we're in the position to be calling out any clubs.
Same here. Honestly wouldn't be that bothered by it if not for the closed shop aspect of it, but then again, being closed shop is a large part of it.Honestly don't think I'd be as pissed off as I am if it wasn't a closed shop. If there were a chance for your Leicesters, Everton's and West Hams to have a bash at the expense of the worst performing teams from each country (Spurs, Arsenal ffs) at least that would keep it somewhat fresh.
I've thought the CL a busted flush for a long time, but fuck me this is not the answer. It'll get old really fucking quick.
Fair play to you for having that opinion mate.I'm honest enough to say yes for myself, whatever ridicule that admittedly entails, etc?
I only care about City, we do what serves our best interests, whether that be this or something else.
Nobody gave a shit when Bury went to the wall and nobody gave a shit about City when we were mocked.
I would rather be pragmatic, than be left behind, as I think football has been holding on to some romantic image that hasn't existed for three decades.
I don't like change, but I know I have to accept it, or things in life will move on without me, whether I like it or not.
I respect those opinions of those who have a wider love of the game, but I won't be turning my back on the club.
The same as when there was no European competition and the same as when there was only 1 CL spot I’d imagine.I'm curious, what will motivate the "established" top 6 in domestic competition if they are already guaranteed a european spot in the super league.
Celtic won it in 66-67
