Some bollox doing the rounds now that UEFA offered the English clubs money to stay out of it, complete nonsense given the sums involved in this SL. No money was exchanged, City and Chelsea saw sense.

But Cerefin decided to just mention us?
Exactly this... They just sat on a big announcement and played their game, wouldn't want that positive news affecting the players eh? They said they were getting the documentation together a few hours before the game, while City had reportedly already submitted theirs at lunchtime(several hours before that report surfaced). Chelsea are clambering for that good press.

Perez propaganda to make it look like UEFA don't care about Spanish clubs.

I can't offer a 24hr service, but I will do my best.

Sorry mate but keep the politics to the right forum. I fail to see what someone on telly said about ethnic quotas has anything to do with this thread. Sorry if I offended you. Sorry you were offended by whoever it was. Sorry you get offended...

Are you woke?

Plus, at least I didn't call you a ****. Every cloud n all that.

Night.
I’m neither offended (because you don’t matter) nor woke. In fact the irony is I think you have misunderstood my post. I was reacting to Kaveh Solehkol‘s race and gender baiting claiming these are all the issues that us fans are bothered about.
I didn’t call you a second rate gaslighting dickhead either. Enjoy your Ovaltine.

An interesting thought. If we had not come in, in the first place, would it have still crumbled? The momentum of City and Chelsea leaving started the collapse....
I'd like to think our board always knew they could get out, but also knew that if it started without us, we'd never get in. They may not be angels, but I would not swap them for any other in Europe.

Feels to me like United, Liverpool and Arsenal tried to blindside us by giving us a short ultimatum - join up now or miss out forever. In a panic, we agreed but soon realised our mistake and then sensed the opportunity to bring it all down after seeing the outrage to the plans. Just my take anyway.
That sounds like a very reasonable possibility. Good luck getting the "5D Chess" and the "My Club Disgusts Me" groups to believe it though...

Some quotes coming out of Chelsea that the American clubs lied to them about what they were signing up for, probably the same for City as both were said to be wobbling. I am think there wasn't any contract signed or such bullshit that Perez declared last night. I suspect City and Chelsea signed the declaration of intent to assess the possibility of forming a super league and how popular it would be among the fans. They were both obviously alarmed by the words of Perez yesterday and the pace the whole thing began to move.
Maybe they didnt even take Perez words into consideration. I would hope that the clubs saw what a fuck up the whole thing was and did the right thing.
