I don't necessarily see an apology as being as important as an explanation. When you've spent the past 13 years fighting against protected interests of a cartel that have tried to crush your existence (and the hopes and dreams of your fans), and then you jump into bed with the said cartel thereby crushing dreams of people like us, I think you have questions to answer.

If all you want is the relentless pursuit of money to be able to pay our best players then you won't understand.

I have a theory that we are currently wrongly seen as the saviour of English footy at the moment while the other clubs apologise. Perhaps some PR firm have said “an apology only draws attention to your error while at the moment you and Chelsea are primarily seen as the teams that brought the EPL down....be remembered for that as you can’t get anymore out of this”

Not a mad theory. But it depends on who you ask and how jealous and piss boiling they are currently. You only say sorry for any wrong doing. Something which the other clubs clearly have. John Henrys apology was nothing short of embarrassing from a multi billionaire who was at the forefront of all of this, he was grovelling with his fake apology.

I’m in no rush, yes arsenal united and liverpool have rushed out pr written apologies, which they hardly mean as they planned it and can hardly put it down as an error of judgement. Hardly explaining why they were the drivers of it.
I’d like an explanation at some point why we jumped aboard but don’t need any apology, and am in no rush.

The difference between our owner and that wanker is ours isn’t a money grabbing twat, he’s done so much good, not just for the club but for Manchester.
This was the first real major mistake he’d made since the takeover and that’s why we’re not trying to drive him out of the club.
Everyone makes mistakes, some can be unforgivable.
But for me up until a few days ago the club was perfectly run and fans were always respected.
Unlike Henry, Glazers and Kroenke etc.. who only care about money.

They've done a lot of things right but let's not try and claim this club under the current ownership has never put a foot wrong before this with regards to the way the fans have been treated. From fans being booted out of the North Stand at just a few weeks notice back in 2010 to make way for a family stand, to fans being booted out of seats they've held for years to make way for some poncey Tunnel Club, to fans now being booted out of their seats to make way for fancy new LED advertising, to season ticket price increases in 10 out of the last 11 seasons, to introducing a tiered system that involved effectively buying loyalty points by virtue of paying extra for Platinum. Oh, and don't get me started on fans being banned from the stadium by that twat McGrath based on evidence that is flimsy at best and non-existent at worst with no right to appeal, so they've actually got plenty of things wrong. Now I'm sure that none of those were signed off by Mansour himself or perhaps even Khaldoon, but they've all happened on their watch.

Spot-on. SKY have been running this fake story for 48 hours. The rule is clear. They can't retrospectively deduct points. We are still in the PL and never joined the ESL. Even if we had it would only apply to next season not 20/21.

Now my legal training was income tax specific but going back to the press release the wording was the clubs had signed letters of intent to join the ESL.

So even if you are taken by the arguments Sky are trying to peddle is it the same to say you intend to join as joining itself?

I understand people want an apology but I hope we don't. The apologies by the other clubs are ridiculous because they can't justify what happened so it just turns into a cringe fest. Do any of you believe what they are saying? It's insulting. If City stay silent it is fine with me because there's nothing really they can say. At the end of the day they made a decision for whatever reason and then reversed it as we all wanted. We will never know what happened and they will never tell us so what are we going to get from some orchestrated clip from the powers that be. I would rather leave it as it is and hope we can start to build bridges between the owners and the fans again.

Are they still top if you add the points won in the league to the number of words in those statements?
