Only team I give a fuck about is City

And this Shite idea ripped the fucking heart out of me because of City

We were joining a bunch of fucking bandits who tried and would have still tried in lubing us up

Don’t give a shit about the other clubs but do give a shit about fairness

Left a big stain this saga with a lot of fans and will take time to fade
Fairness? You reckon we get this?

Add all those little things up. It's easy to sweep it under the carpet if you've not been on the receiving end of most of them. They could've still grown the club without alienating some of the fans the way they did. Of course, these gripes come and go but I just take umbrage with the notion that before this they've never put a wrong in terms of respecting the fans as that's clearly bollocks.
Maybe I shouldn’t have used the word “perfectly”
But overall I’m still very happy (like Pep) with the way our owners have run things.

Did you feel the same when we left the Football League to join the Premier League? If not, why not?

Really, really, REALLY dumb. Completely out of context without assets, equity, debt service, etc.
Barcelona, Real and the Rags will NEVER be short of money, they will always be able to find money, someone will always lend them money, they are institutions like it or not, they will NEVER go bankrupt.

So your threshold for issuing an apology is murder?

I don't necessarily see an apology as being as important as an explanation. When you've spent the past 13 years fighting against protected interests of a cartel that have tried to crush your existence (and the hopes and dreams of your fans), and then you jump into bed with the said cartel thereby crushing dreams of people like us, I think you have questions to answer.

If all you want is the relentless pursuit of money to be able to pay our best players then you

That is the real picture. If you are a club want to succeed and stay at the top it need to spend, the problem is that football (because of the astronomic operating costs say the players wages) cannot generate cash.

2 solutions beside broadcast, gate and commercial revenues :

Equity injection from the owner, not possible with FFP and not many owners arround who have money to throw, the americans even buy clubs with LBO

Reduce operating costs, you will lose top players and maybe even the manager who will go away for better salaries

Some city fans tend to forget that this club get stick because of inflation! Even though there is no other way to get into this position without spending

Nobody really left anything then did they? It was the same teams, same format just they reduced it by two teams. The lower league teams could still get into it by promotion as they do now.
Exactly. It was essentially the same product but packaged differently. The only structural change was the reduction from 22 to 20 teams in the early years but aside from that 3 teams up/3 teams down has remained constant.
