i sense from the boys few posts recently maybe things have changed with regards a big spend?
The only thing that comes remotely close to this is a comment that he Tolmie said he thinks for Grealish to come, someone would need to go. But even that I don’t think is strictly financial

Don't think anything's changed. We're doing a Transfer Pod over on the 93:20 Player next week with an overview of where we're at on the summer. Will try and put some of that stuff in a vid with Ste too.

If we for some reason couldn`t get Haaland, I would love this. A couple of years with Lewandowski and Delap could slowly be integrated, maybe spend a season on loan. Still the best striker in the world by a mile. 51 goal contributions in 37 games this season for him

No chance Bayern will let Lewandowski go to either of us. Bayern would probably try for Werner or more realistically Havertz to help with that situation. I would sign him as an alternative to Haaland and as short term fix would still be an awesome signing , but we are letting Aguero go and it would be a more difficult task in finding another striker after Lewandowski.

Speaking of Kane. Michael Calvin, Dom Ffifield, and Miggles Delaney on the football writers pod yesterday said that they believe that he's moving to City this summer. Obviously caveated with "if city can agree a fee with Spurs" but it's out there that he's coming to City.
Interesting given that two of the three are confirmed City haters, so that definitely isn’t a case of client journalists doing the club’s bidding/dirty work via the media. Still think if it was advanced then someone closer to City would also have had a sniff but it seems pretty clear now that both Haaland and Kane are both for sale this summer at the right price

Walker to City came from those lads down there too IIRC.

Completely agree on them both being available for the right price. And honestly, it'd be churlish to turn my nose up at either of them. When you look at what Pep's built without a 9, adding either would almost be cruel on the rest of the league.

Only because Aguero is leaving and there is a place for him and currently he is one of England's golden boys.

Yep would prefer Haaland for age as much as anything but anyone who’d turn their nose up at Kane is mad. Both of them would improve us significantly.
Kane to us would have some echoes of Sheringham to old trafford in 1997.

Top shout on the Sheringham to the rags - remember that vividly.

I think the beauty of this season is that literally we've shown that the system can be built to not even use a 9. So next season someone like Kane will be able to rotate in and out as needed without feeling like he's being run into the ground or has to play every game.

Yep 100% but I don’t think he is a realistic option either. Seems to have his heart set on Spain.
I think the sight of ground staff brushing piles of ice off the Etihad pitch in May was the final killer for that dream :)
Fixed ;)
