Schlupp won the league with Leicester, let's see Grealish emulate at Villa.
Would be the same price but one thing in Grealish's favour is age and more technical ability (we aren't short in that department) . Zaha would be bring something different (direct pace). My case rests, m’lud.
I couldn’t give you a metric that would make me want Zaha at City. Erratic shot, can’t pass, hasn’t got a football brain and is a mardarse. A slightly better, but slower version of Traore.Would be the same price but one thing in Grealish's favour is age. Zaha would be bring something different (direct pace)
It's an interesting question. First instinct says Grealish by a mile. But every argument I have against Zaha can be levelled at Grealish, until he proves himself at a higher level than a mid-table premier league club. That would be an interesting question to ask you.
Zaha or Grealish?
Schlupp wasn't a key player for Leicester. Same could be said for Evans at Utd.Schlupp won the league with Leicester, let's see Grealish emulate at Villa.
Grealish has the ability to dictate the pace of a game, whereas the other two don’t. It’s David Silva-esque, but obviously not as good. It's an interesting question. For example: honest question to everyone on here - if Lingard didn't have the rag link, would his recent performances for West Ham make you think he was good enough for us? How about if he did the same next season?
I would be inclined to say no, and that Grealish is a much better player. But I'm struggling to find reasons why beyond the 'eye test'.
I see that too, and it's why I would like him as a midfielder.Grealish has the ability to dictate the pace of a game, whereas the other two don’t. It’s David Silva-esque, but obviously not as good.
Zaha can only play as a wide forward. He doesn’t work hard enough defensively for him to play our game. That’s before his tantrums etc.
Lingard is an interesting question. If he’d had Pep as his manager at 20, I think he’d be quite the footballer now, if he was able to understand the tactics. He’s not a rag type of player and has wasted a lot of his career.
Him and Foden constantly interchanging the left sided 8 and inside left would be amazing.I see that too, and it's why I would like him as a midfielder.

Hmm... stats?I would be inclined to say no, and that Grealish is a much better player. But I'm struggling to find reasons why beyond the 'eye test'.
Yeah but if you listen to some on here it doesn't reflect his quality at all, and he's just been lucky.
I have to laugh at the suggestion that Sterling being at top clubs gives him an unfair advantage over Grealish... as though he didn't earn his place here by being leagues above Grealish and everyone else at his age.
True.
Sterling was almost a prodigy at 16/17 while Grealish looked more of a show pony.Sterling's amazing potential made Liverpool pursue and sign him,and his brilliant performances and further development was the reason we shelled out a very hefty 50m at the time.
Grealish stayed at his boyhood club because he wasn't displaying the same rate of development and bigger clubs saw him as too much of a Billy Big Bollocks and too much of a risk.
Fast forward to a couple of seasons ago and the two caught up talent wise, and now the trajectory's have flipped.....Grealish has lost the style over substance tag and he continues to improve and influence, while it appears Sterling has stalled and his game is no longer progressing at the expected level which his contract predicted.
In summary,Sterling fully deserved and earned his opportunities, and hopefully he will rediscover the brilliance that propelled him to the cusp of world class......but now Grealish has overtaken him,and he too has earnt the chance to play for a club like ours.
Hmm... stats?
Not always the case, some good players look amazing in average teams but can't step up when going into top teams.
There’s an element of horses for courses too. If we want a proper winger that will stay wide, Raz has proven he is perfect for us in that role. But we just don’t play that way often anymore so need brilliant technical players like Mahrez, Foden, Bernardo. Grealish is in the same bracket as the latter group.
Yep,that may well happen.I just don't see a player who has improved and ironed out the flaws in his game like he should have done as he enters his prime. It's also extremely restrictive to have a player who only suits specific conditions. If we start playing with a more fixed centre forward again I think we'll see the best of Sterling again. He's had a poor year partly because the system we've settled on doesn't play to his individual strengths, compared to other seasons.
It's obvious that you don't like Grealish but I cannot see why you cannot see he is one of the most talented players in the Premier league. Maybe your not a real City fan and are really terrified that he may sign for us!We already have players who can do what Grealish is supposedly be good at. He might get a chance linking in up with Foden as being part of the first team but again he would still start off as as squad player.
I don't rate him and don't see him any better or different than what we have currently got in both postitions he plays in but I don't particularly dislike him either. Don't question who I support either unless you are on the wind up as well. It's obvious that you don't like Grealish but I cannot see why you cannot see he is one of the most talented players in the Premier league. Lingard's numbers since he joined West Ham have been phenomenal. That's the point I was trying to make.Hmm... stats?
