Jack Grealish

The same Delph who was a reasonably priced squad player who at first did a u-turn. Did alright but not in his natural position. Fernando was just as good but both were not quite good enough going forwards.

Not sure on your point to be fair? Delph did more than 'alright' in the 17/18 record-breaking season at left back. He was never good enough to play midfield for us under Pep, it was a struggle under Pellegrini as you alluded to.

Grealish is a cut above Delph and that's just obvious.

The point is Grealish would be coming in at the same point of his career as the two players mentioned. None have been particularly outstanding before they joined. Fernando had been the most successful in terms of medals.

I am a big fan of Raz but I don't think he is a far better player than Grealish.

Raz has had the opportunity to develop at two top sides alongside many high quality players and under top managers. Grealish surrounded by our players and being coached by Pep would allow a proper comparison and I think it would be very favourable for Grealish.
61 England caps at the age of 26, that's some achievement and has already played for two of the country's major clubs ( well just the one), some career so far!

Cantwell isn't outstanding either if you are taking the piss. I never stated he was. He would of be a lot cheaper than Grealish has achieved the same honours.

Yeah but if you listen to some on here it doesn't reflect his quality at all, and he's just been lucky.

I have to laugh at the suggestion that Sterling being at top clubs gives him an unfair advantage over Grealish... as though he didn't earn his place here by being leagues above Grealish and everyone else at his age.

Exactly, 17 years old and playing for Liverpool, the guy is so, so very lucky LOL, the guy is a serious talent, always has and always will have.

Grealish is no where near that level, not saying he can't get there but the grass is not always greener and be careful what you wish!

I am really confused how you guys are coming to the conclusion that Grealish is a far better player than Sterling. Yes I know grealish is far more naturally gifted with technical abilities but is that all that makes a good player ?

Grealish is also better than Salah btw since all that matters is your technical ability

Wasnt it Gary Player who said
"The more I practice the luckier I get"

Also, I have to laugh at those saying Sterling doesn't fit our current false 9 system (a valid argument) and therefore should be replaced, whilst at the same time saying we should sign a number 9 like Haaland.

You think Haaland is going to play as a false 9?

Our well publicised pursuit of a striker, coupled with our relative lack of goals this season, makes it pretty obvious to me that Pep doesn't see the false 9 set up as the answer beyond this season.

More than happy to see Grealish come in as a number 8, which we really do need now that Foden is playing further forward.
