Brighton (A) | Post-Match Thread

The problem is malg that the fucking appalling refereeing decisions are not going away anytime soon so long as PiGMOL are allowed to do just what they want.

the corrupt cunts need to be stripped of their powers and replaced with a system which is transparent to supporters.

Cunts like Atwell and Moss should be sacked immediately.
Agree 100%. Fucking shocker yesterday. It shows you exactly how the Rags are going to win the league again. There's more options open to them now, if the guy on the pitch can't get it right then the bloke in the VAR booth can.

Trebles all round.....

It might be unpopular opinion here but I felt sad for the Brighton fans when we silenced them with that first goal. I think somewhere I felt happy for them that they had a good game .

We all hate losing but putting things in perspective we already won the league, let them enjoy their night.
Fair enough but the nasty challenges and the appalling arbitration leave a sour taste in the mouth even if the result will be of no long term significance.

Yes but those are game conditions you can expect in CL final and in that respect it was a good practice. Chelsea is going to do worse than that.

Whilst I will admit gracia has been poor I can't understand the hostility towards him, probably by the same people who were calling out mahrez and Mr whippy last season. He was a great prospect but unfortunately hasn't progressed enough to be good enough for us. I know that if I was a pro footballer living in a different country and having a bad time and my boyhood club came calling back home I would have my suitcase packed before you could say jack Robinson. As for last night we were playing against 13 (including ref and var), he isn't a full back and he got no support from mahrez all night so too blame him is a think a bit unfair. Anyway I hope he becomes a great player back at Barcelona.

I quite liked him when he first burst into the squad.
Seemed assured on the ball and a good reader of the game.
Unfortunately he simply hasn’t developed to a level which he needs to in order to perform in our system.
He’s had plenty of opportunities to prove himself but has consistently delivered poor performances.
When Cancelo was sent off last night we were reduced to 10 men.
After Garcia came on we were reduced to 9....

Played very well, considering we were down to 10 for most of the match. 2 of the goals were sloppy from us and their other was a good header to be fair to them.

Non fussed as it's all wrapped up, was just good to get most of the lads who will start the final some minutes in their legs, keep them sharp and fresh. Foden goal made up for any shite that happened in the game.

Personally I think we should of just dropped to a 3 at the back and let torres play.

I'll be honest I really liked garcia and I hope he has the best career possible, but for me when a player makes it obviously clear that he doesn't want to stay at the club and he wants to be somewhere else, then he shouldn't even be making the squad list, let along playing, would rather someone from the academy gets the minutes instead. Not 100% what pep's obsession with him is, maybe he was trying to prove something by taking him from the barca academy and trying to turn him into something here, I honestly don't know.

Not bothered about the booing.
Not even bothered about the ref, who IMO was utterly incompetent rather than corrupt.
Not bothered about the loss. We've already won the league and the match was, for us, nothing more than a warm up for the CL final.
What I'm highly fucked off about is Brighton trying to clog our players off the field and injure them, with us only 11 days off what is probably the most important final in our history.
I lost total respect for a team I've genuinely respected for the type of football they play and rooted for as a neutral time and again in the past.
Fuck off Brighton.

You might retract that when we find out the full extent of Gundo's injury. That shit show of a 'tackle' could have been career ending. Hopefully not.

Garcia has been at city long enough to make his mark, i didn’t see him being able to break into our first team, he regularly gets the wrong side of players as per burns’ winner, he was wrong side and appealing for offside rather than tracking him.he has done it before, so don’t wish him any harm, but don’t think we are missing out here
