Jack Grealish

Bullshit from start to finish. Do you even watch football matches that City aren’t involved in?
Just my opinion. He's a good player but I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if he went to a rival.

If he comes it means someone is leaving and I don't know who that would be. Sterling is off of form yes, but you cant forget the numbers he has had in the past. B. silva is one of the most talented players in the squad but he hasn't really lived up to it, still don't want him to leave. So I don't know how we would fit grealish in.

Sterling hopefully. You have to forget his great numbers in the past imo... unless you think he'll regain form. Would he be in demand though?

I’m motivated by that bollocks I saw on BT when Rio shouted Joe Cole down for saying Kane should pick City over United... we need to open the gap between ourselves and United so that its impossible for them to catch us,.. no mercy. The likes of Rio need to see, taste and feel reality.
What would it take though? The guy is just so biased to the rags. We have finished above them for the last eight tears straight in the EPL, plus we have won the comp for four of those seasons. We are light years away from them now, finishing twelve points ahead, but maybe if the other teams perform a little better, the rags will be back down in fifth or sixth.

Some people like Rio are just blind fools, and they keep thinking back to bacon faces times, which was way back in the past.

The biggest mistake City has made over the past decade was resting on our laurels in the title winning seasons, and backing them up with poor summer transfer windows, failing to strengthen when we were on top.

Grealish clearly wants to come here, and Pep seems to rate him. He's home grown and about to enter the prime of his career. Don't over think this. If he's available for a decent fee, go get him. You can never have enough good players.

Grealish + Kane (or Haaland) would be a fantastic window imo.

I dont know where the 70 to 75m figure is coming from, grealish did have a buyout but the value was never disclosed. That was removed in new contract. Villa's owners are up with the richest in the PL. Villa have zero debt, grealish has a long contract and there is absolutely no pressure to sell. I can't see anything under 100m even being entertained. Edens valued Grealish at 120m plus at the start of last season when united were interested. That figure will not have reduced.

How highly do you rate him? And,are the claims by some of our fans that he would struggle for a game here valid,in your opinion?

Cheers

That’s wishful thinking on your part mate. Part of the reason Grealish signed a new contract last September was a) to get a nice wage increase and b) ensure he would be able to leave Villa for a reasonable fee at the end of this season. He loves Villa but he also wants to win things (as his talent deserves). He wouldn’t have signed a contract that effectively (to age 30) reduced his chances of major silverware down to single figures.

The buyout clause does exist and Villa won’t be getting anything near £120m for him this summer if he leaves.

Just heard from someone who told me the Delph deal was done a few years ago that the Grealish signing is almost done. There's some interesting news regarding Raz, will post again.
Not surprised if true, very good player. Sterling does not look comfortable, something is definitely up with him.
