Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Come on mate.

I remember people here saying the same last year and saying the same when we went out to RM in the semis.

City will be back, we have too much quality not to be.
You never know how long it will be.

United went 31 years between their first two
Barcelona went 31 years between their first two
Arsenal have only ever got to one despite winning the league in every decade between 1930-2010 and having that brilliant team in the 00s.

It might be next year, it might be 31 years, it might be never again.

People need to look at the two different sides here. Pep is a great manager no doubt he has proved this but there are Domestic competitons and European and he just hasnt delivered yet on the latter and he has had 5 years to do so. When he over thinks things like this you have to be deluded if you think he will deliver. Dont get me wrong I thought this was our year, we finally reach the final and what worked for us in the qf and sf was just discarded and Sterling who has been piss poor all year given a starting place. Marathon? Pep wins, Sprint? Pep loses. He has only won the CL twice in 12 years and his Munich teams were incredible. Sometimes you have to accept that maybe just maybe it isnt going to happen on the European stage. Am I happy with that? Of course not but its hard to sack someone who is so consistent in domestic competitions.

Losing a final happen, being finalist is not the end of the world contrary to what moron football fans say some dogs are out in force tonightto mock city because of this loss. Being a finalist is an achievement also.

Beside that, City lost 3 games in a row to Chealsea everytime with the same manner, chelsea definding well, agressive on the ball and waiting for an opportunity or let say a mistake. People were here saying yeah we didn't play them with th3 starting line up.

Guardiola must calm down he acts like a crazy.

The 2 previous games were an indication how chelsea were going to play. There was need for more energy and unpredictability in order to get the upper hand and be able to create more chances it wasn't the case.

He let the same 11 after the first half, so the result is not a surprise.

So next season, with new signings, a good striker, left back, strong defensive mid and if more players are shipped out, then an attacking midfielder.

I simply hope that Guardiola start acting normally on the bench not like a drama queen.

Zidane is a good example, even Pellegrini :)

He still made a stupid decision, and then he was too proud to correct it. CFC were getting straight onto our defence throughout that 1st half and of course they would. They had 3 quick forwrds whose game is made for that.

Pep played straight into Tuchel's hands. He made another colossal mistake. If he got fired tonight, no one would blame Mansour.
Give
Can someone who watched it on TV tell me if it was handball?
From the one distant replay I saw it was inconclusive

well sorry dude the well trained, impartial refs decided it wasnt and they know more rules than you who is incredibly biased

Agree with this I fucking hate it when refs get blamed if we would of played our normal team and turned up like we did against PSG we wouldn't be talking about refs.

Didn't play well enough to deserve anything out of the game. Poor passing, no creativity and no shots on target

We're still City you absolutely gobshite, unlike you most of us have been watching for decades before the Sheikh.

Our investments don't guarantee shit. We were piss poor under Mancini and Pellegrini following their respective title wins.

And yes, other clubs have had billions pumped in too.

Absolutely it's about winning the league and fucking off the rags. You've lost sight of who we are but most of us, who actually go to games, haven't.
Bollocks and so very wrong, we are one of the giants of the game, not owned by the TV rental man

Why do I always know how our games will end up after 10 mins.
At no point did I feel confident we'd score one nevermind more.

i think when the team sheet was out a hour before kick off ? sterling plays the puzzle look from everybody was enough to say i don't think we are winning tonight
