They don't have one player we need. They are an old side that need a massive overhaul.
Even their young talents are below our grade.
Honestly Spanish football is in a mess. Barca will actually do well out of the Free Transfer market with Aguero, Wijnaldum and Memphis but the general standard is poor.
Atletico were no great shakes and they won it!
So Real need 'work', a lot of it, and will try and get teams to take their shit for top price.
Arsenal will be all over it!!!!

The general tone of things is obviously a reflection on the defeat to Chelsea. But don't lose sight of the fact that this squad has done incredible things this season, Laporte included. If they stay together they'll do them again.

We don't need wholesale surgery, we need. two first XI players adding to the squad IMO.

Agree with all that and think back to how we started last season yep we don’t have a pre season but next season will be Similar with the euros and players hardly having any rest, I’m worried with us starting the same as last season and another speech the one that Fernandinho do will not work this time!

let’s hope we get a Kane or a Haaland in plus another winger for next season, anyway been a superb season..

We'll agree to disagree and leave it there. With Pep in charge, I am not afraid of anyone leaving. He's the best coach in the world IMO, and will continue to win trophies at a stupid rate for us.

I do think a bit of a nip and tuck is required.
Those who don't want to stay - goodbye and move on.
Time for some transition into tge team by tge 'talented academy boys.

Everyone is in the same boat in terms of fitness after summer tournaments. It is what it is. The key thing for me is that we get a 9. A proper top class one. If we do that, all other business should depend on who wants to go and has brought a decent offer to the table.

You don't let you best players leave, Laporte is a quality player, great CB, he could well be back as first choice next season.

Dias has played a crazy number of games, probably play all summer in the Euros, he will need time off at the start of the season, otherwise you will have burnout.
 
Problem with Selling LaPorte is that we will be in market for another CB and CBs as is are in limited supply and no one would join if they aren't not guaranteed starters. It will be similar to Laporte situation again. We should convince LaPorte to stay as if we sell we are not going to get suitors who will pay £60m.

I agree on Laporte. Given how long it took us to get Dias and how much it cost, can't see the club being up for that again so soon. Particularly with Ake having had a season out and Garcia (who i don't rate as much as pep does) gone.

I do think your bit about Stones is reactionary however.

I completely disagree. You don't keep players who have a bad attitude and publicly say they want to leave. End of conversation.

Not a criticism of John Stones, but he has history with confidence issues, hopefully over them but still has to be considered.

Laporte will get back into the team, and we simply don't want to get back to the problem of 2 seasons ago and having to patch up CB

That's a new one, he is top class and I could understand totally if he is pissed he can't get into the 11, is that bad attitude?

I agree on what he has shown so far. However, Laporte is talking himself out the door and his mentality must be in question. 1 season he is not the constant starter and he wants out. I personally think he is looking for an excuse to leave. Now he has 1.
 
Love to see the likes of Palmer putting pressure on Mahrez with pep playing him in an important game to see how he does and put a bit of pressure on Mahrez! Love see Delap too

Playing devils advocate here. Aguero did the same in peps first year if you recall.

If we sell Laporte who do you buy as well?? You need another CB again
