Running thread

Good time that Frank especially in the circumstances.

I had great views of Lancs hills today on the bike but not like Hebrides I think.

I am hoping to keep fit with running and cycling so I could visit the wilder scenery in my retirement........:)

Thanks TCP. Dont get many decent hills, locally, down here so I do miss getting out in the Peak District etc. Lancs hill sounds pretty good to me, even though Im not sure where it is.

Never been a cyclist sadly, although it ticks so many boxes in relation to my life. Not sure I could have enough faith in my fellow man on the roads or not do something inexplicably stupid myself.

Very nice 13k this afternoon. I stopped a few times to take these photos (and to catch my breath). There was plenty of uphill struggling - elevation gain of about 200m in total. Very nice scenery here in Mull.

Lancs hills = Lancashire hills = Hills in Lancashire. For example, Winter Hill (TV mast) or Pendle Hill (Witches)....

Is everyone in the strava group on here? That christian lotter guy in the group logs super impressive times pretty much every week, think he did a 10k in 33 minutes this morning,
I noticed he did 11.5 miles at 5.56 minutes per mile the other day. Quite impressive in training.......

Sub six minute milng is where its at and is the benchmark for being fast for us amateurs over about 10k or more. I think I manged a couple of races at 6.03 pace back in the day. So I was always a slow coach...

In fact the lotter guy is a lotter faster.....his 10 k his more like 5.30 mile pace. So he's in another league.
