I would love to know how many people moaning about a delay actually won't have the vaccine.

Heard some muppet at son's footie training the other night boasting he wasn't having the jab, followed by moaning about the government are out of order considering pushing restrictions back.

Irony. Not even difficult to process, get the fucking jab, everyone, no ifs or buts.

The state of this. Excuse me, but we don’t live in a dictatorship. Do what’s best for you and let people choose.

That's good, very small climb I think.

Could be slowing a bit or passing from our region to others?
About 1000 fewer increase week to week than yesterday but still round 2000 up week to week.

But as has been becoming apparent in the data over the last few days this has spread to all areas.

They are all UP today - some quite big - EXCEPT North West and Yorkshire who both fall.

London tops 1000 cases (only other place to do so bar North West for many weeks.

South West in 9 days has gone upwards almost every day from 88 to 384. Easily the region increasing the fastest. Spreading in seaside areas like Dawlish.

Though London's acceleration is starting to be daily.

NW today was down by 136 to 1976.

A good day for Greater Manchester today. It was more than expected on the day to day fall and less than expected on the week to week rise.

The spread to other areas and stabilising of numbers in GM is the reason why it is decreasing as the cause of the NW outbreak.

Not only was Bolton down wk to wk by 14 to 103.

But Stockport was well down week to week from 105 to 77

And even Manchester only up 3 at 220.

Salford less good - up its highest number in ages and ahead of Bolton on 131.

Indeed Wigan was also up a lot and now above Bolton by 24 on 127 today.

The other boroughs have all crept up though and Oldham and Tameside were lowest scorers in GM today but both on 62. Highest lowest score in GM in some months.

Hence GM still clocked up its second highest score in months on 984. Down from 1062. And up from 878 last Thursday.

Lol, Facebook quote even down to the "the real scandal" part.

As has been stated a million times before, a worst case scenario is not a prediction. his BSE modelling was a range from 50 - 50k for example.

to be honest I think your just on the wind up now.

Haha.

Took me about three seconds to find that debunk as well.

As I said before…some people will believe any old waffle they see on social media…hence Trump and Brexit.

I went out with some mates the other day and we had all had our vaccines apart from one. His reason for not having it was the usual Facebook bollocks and he said “I’ve read that 50% of the vaccines they are giving are just a
water”. We rightly took the piss

The Independent is reporting NHS trusts are being/going to be asked to start separating out the stats for those in hospital 'because of' covid, and those in hospital 'with covid.'

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-hospitals-nhs-england-data-b1862804.html

Makes sense and is something I flagged up months ago as being a potential issue. If someone goes into hospital with a broken leg but tests positive for Covid then it’s misleading to count them as a Covid admission. They will still be recorded as a case which achieves the objective of tracking infections.

England hospital data:

Patients UP 30 to 906. First time England has been over 900 since 12 May. That is 127 rise week to week. Largest since last Winter.

Sadly North West is the reason for much of that - up 15 to 271. Was 192 last week. This is easily the biggest weekly rise.

Ventilators fell 1 to 140 - but NW rose 1 to 46 whilst London fell 1 to same number. Midlands rose by 3 here today.

Admissions up to 147 - highest in some time.

But NW not the only reason. They look fairly stable - on 43. Last week here 31 - 38 - 32 - 30 - 43 - 45 - 43 - 43.

However, Midlands up big today, Last week here 18 - 19 - 15 - 11 - 12 - 13 - 24 - 40. A pretty steep climb in 48 hours. Hence presumably the ventilator rise.

These numbers are not too encouraging as there is usually a fall on Thursdays. Last week it was 22 from 801 to 779 . So a rise of 30 is a bigger reversal than it looks.

Unfortunately the UK position is not better.

Wales rose by one third in a day in patients - up from 29 to 39. Ventilators also up from 2 to 3

Northern Ireland patients up 1 from 18 to 19 (ventilators still happily zero)

And Scotland patients up 3 to 124 and ventilators stay at 14.

So UK patients now 1088 - biggest daily rise in many weeks and starting to look less reassuring. Though it may change quickly as this is the cases rise of the past week or so filtering through.

Ventilators in UK stay at 158.

It doesn't work like that, not this time.

A global pandemic isn't confined by what is best for you, it is everyone's problem.

Hence why is doesn't respect age, title or wealth.

If everyone took your view, we would have bodies stacking up the streets.

For context, thousands of families never got to say goodbye or attend the funeral of a loved one, yet some selfish pricks think it is okay because it doesn't impact them.

If it were down to me, and I'm sure you and plenty of other like-minded people would thank fuck it's not, they would not be able to do Jack shit without the jab.

Same here. Selfish pricks will be running down the pharmacy with their sleeves rolled up if they need a vaccine passport to get in the pub.

Sometimes in life you should do what's best for others and not just yourself. This pandemic has shone a light on the worst people that society has spewed up.
