I had Moderna. Didn't even feel the needle go in, but was very slightly sore next dayHad my first jab about six hours ago and my left arm is throbbing quite a bit. Had the pfizer but hoping it's better in the morning. Anyone have similar?

I had Moderna, and had a sore arm for a day or so but nothing other than that.Had my first jab about six hours ago and my left arm is throbbing quite a bit. Had the pfizer but hoping it's better in the morning. Anyone have similar?

And if we let it get to Zeta or whatever before we get around to a global push to vaccinate everywhere then it will be 100% and we will have screwed ourselves via selfishness.
That alone makes not creating consequences for those who choose not to have the jab to be wrong.
It should not be forced on anyone but if it is a voluntary decision not to bother - and not medically dictated - then they should have to accept things like restrictions on travel and what they can do until the pandemic ends globally for making that choice.
And if that ending is the 12th of never thanks to the refuseniks then they can blame who they like but the answer will be in the mirror.
Why does nobody seem to want to own the mandatory vaccinations argument?
Individual liberty is fine when it only affects the individual. When one persons choice impacts other people’s lives, it’s a different matter.
“It’s my right to choose if I want to drink drive or not, I’m only going to crash and hurt myself.”
Err, no. Hence drink driving is illegal.
Professor Susan Michie of SAGE is advocating the wearing of masks and maintaining social distancing permanently.
She is a bit of a nutter though as she's one of the several members of the Stalinist Communist Party of Great Britain.
that's because 1 or 2 households catch it and it blows up. There's nothing to actually see or analyse in this small area. Then you have places like Clackmannanshire which has both high vaccine coverage and very high case rates. Might be an anomaly but I've seen the same comparisons with a few places south of the border, bizarre.
Some will be familiar, but Lawrence Wright’s book about covid came out this week, ‘The Plague Year’. I’m only a couple of chapters in but it’s gripping stuff.
He’s my favourite non fiction writer, and won the Pulitzer Prize for ‘The Looming Tower’ a vast investigation into the events leading up to 9/11. He also wrote Going Clear, the book about Scientology that the film of the same name was based on.
Last year he released a novel, written in 2019, about a global pandemic caused by a novel respiratory virus. Proper freaky.
Anyway I can’t recommend his work highly enough. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/678999/the-plague-year-by-lawrence-wright/
have you seen the film you refer to?
Sounds like she could do with slipping somewhere high up.I mentioned a few days ago about too many ‘experts’ enjoying the time in the limelight and will be gutted when this is all over as they will have to slip back to the shadows. Shes one

Why does your wedding come at such a large cost? The first cancellation might have been unavoidable, the 2nd and 3rd were /are pretty predictable, all things considered. Book a church/ civil ceremony, say your vows, get hitched then, celebrate with friends and family at a time when we/ you can be certain you’re not left footing a huge cancellation bill.I don't care at all about the notion of 'freedom day', but not everyone hoping for that date to come to fruition are 'snowflakes who can't wear a mask in a supermarket'. I'd gladly continue wearing a mask, I'd gladly adhere to social distancing, I'd gladly give up any hopes of foreign travel this year.
But what I'm not happy to go along with is my wedding being delayed for a 3rd time, at less than a months notice and at a large cost to me and my fiance, when the virus isn't anywhere near to overwhelming the NHS. They've done pilots and proved that they can host such events safely.
