Seasoncard - 2021/22

Everyone will have their own reasons. Mine are numerous. I have Had health issues after being diagnosed with a curved spine and fractures in my back, which gives me mobility issues, and like Tolmie has said, I don’t want to make a financial commitment in the current climate with no guarantee of actually seeing all the games. Less of a reason but still a small factor is the unsociable KO times.
I will take the 12 months to see how my health is and see how the pandemic is before finally taking a permanent decision.

I hope your health improves and you are back at City again when the time is right.

I wouldn't expect deferred ST holders to have availability for any tickets next season....

However peoples financial circumstances have changed thru the pandemic and I would

hope for those impacted negatively that their circumstances change for the better in the

near term. For those deferring reference Covid 19, again, we hope for those still concerned

& indeed all those renewing, that these circumstances improve, as we all want to move on

to full stadiums as safely and quickly as possible. I would hope & anticipate that if Covid-19

issues ease significantly in next 6 months, that the Club look to offer those that deferred, for

whatever reason, a ST for 2nd half of the season. To encourage them to return & quicken the

return to a full stadium. 21/22 fixture list may also play a part in encouraging this early return.

If someone deferres and at some point they fancy a game will the deferred person have preference over cityzens or visa versa, also will a deferred person be eligible for away tickets under the current criteria of season card holder with points?
My understanding is that is you defer, you essentially become a Cityzens Matchday member for the season. So the same access to home and away tickets as they have.

If someone defers and then half way through the season (or at some stage during the season) realises that their circumstances have changed and they now want to purchase their season card for the rest of the season, what happens then? Is it possible to purchase it or do they have to buy on a match by match basis?

Yes this is correct. I asked my account manager for a family member who wanted to know. They only thing she couldn’t confirm was if you deferred wether or not you would have to buy the citizens membership for the year as technically they are not a season are holder for 21/22

Thanks Col, that's what I was led to believe when I emailed Supporter Services a couple week back.

I asked about possibly needing to buy a matchday membership for £35 and they said there was no need, as I would still have the normal access to purchases as a deferred season-ticket holder and use my built-up points entitlement as and when required.

You are automatically a Cityzen member when you become a season ticket holder, deferred or not.

Correct. I don't anticipate deferred ticket holders being required to take out another membership and, personally, I'd be strongly against that.

I don't know if it is related, but I even tried out of curiosity this morning to buy a matchday membership on my dashboard.

It would not allow it, saying it was unavailable to me?

I think most people would. Even if the club saw it as an easy way to take recoup £35 from all deferral fans, it would fly in the face of those who have fallen on difficult financial times and just want to go when they can afford to.

Deferral shouldn't result in a punishment.

I actually received an email from City yesterday asking me to tick and register what games I would be interested in attending next season?

Probably means you are already/still a member then.

Deferring shouldn't led to any punishment imho

Some posts suggestions a second half of the season SC ....think that's a great idea for some of those who have taken the defer option.
This was one option in a questionnaire that was sent out last year when they thought we’d all be back in full by Christmas. Not sure why they haven’t pursued it, like you say it’s a good idea

That's my thinking at this time, anyhow?

I was always able to buy additional tickets online via my account and always assumed it was because I was automatically a Cityzen member.
Your probably right but might be worth checking in a week or two once everything had died down and everything is updated/processed. It is City after all :)

Can someone help me please. My ticket is sorted but my daughter"s is a problem. She knows that work and children commitments means she could only attend about half the games. When that happens my son uses her ticket will that be allowed next year or will there be new technology at the turnstiles?

Just had my call from the club which I appreciate. There will be no possibility that in the event a season card holder cannot attend a match then they will NOT be allowed to transfer their card even if they notify the club. Govt regulations will not allow this.

Interesting one this Tolmie - I tried the same thing out of interest.

I'm currently assuming, as I've deferred, that I have to wait for Cityzens to purchase before I can.

It's a wait and see I guess currently
