Jack Grealish

He would have to change the way he plays , he hangs on to the ball too long , draws fouls & creates set piece chances but it is that what we want ? I’d pass on him tbh.

There’s one thing I 100% know. If he was at City there’s not a chance he would be the most fouled player for the third season a row. We just don’t get the soft fouls.

Does that include Pep if he sells one and buys the other?
Firstly, I’m not sure it’s going to be Pep’s choice or decision.

Secondly, Pep has already made it clear he never stands in the way of a player who wants out or rocks the boat. Bernardo is apparently the former and, from reports, went to great pains to not be the latter last season.

If he wants to go, he goes. That demands a high quality replacement. I’ll believe that player is Grealish when I see the picture of him pretending to sign his contract with Txiki!

That’s true .......but he’d still be on the floor, we just wouldn’t get the free kicks . I just feel he wouldn’t fit this team

I guess this is what you get for 100m lol.

Haha, they are trying to make it a good thing that he wins fouls, he is supposed to be the messiah but he comes on and does nothing, I guess they have to find a way to hype his performance.

Foden had been the same all night, so Southgate decided to swap one for the other. If he pulled Kane or Sterling and put Grealish on the other side to Foden, they couldn't have doubled up on both of them.

He brings similar things to Foden in terms of running at players, at pace and with skill. Suspect both of them in a team could be a handful, especially with KdB pulling the strings rather than Phillips

But Grealish plays and the other side so isn't a like for like replacement for berny.

If Silva does leave for Barca then it would make more sense to have Dembele moving our way as part of the deal, or go for Colman at Bayern.

Both are technicaly better than grealish and suit Peps styles(s), can play either wing or central.

If we are getting rid of Jesus and Sterling, well then it wouldake sense to bring in another left sided AM in Grealish, but not to replace berny on the right.

He comes on switches Sterling to the right the whole game when foden in Southgate didn’t switch them once! Think Mount is Southgate poster boy he plays every game never get subbed has that freedom to play anywhere! Give that freedom to foden Southgate you fraud!

I remember one of the fouls was on the half way line, he had 3/4 opportunities to just pass the ball onto Stones and he kept hold of it, almost as though he wants this kinda stat every game, we’d have been better off with the pass as I recall Pickford ended up booting the ball up field and losing it anyway....

Is there a new rule, if your fouled 4 times your awarded a goal?

Haha, everyone is currently obsessed with Jack Grealish that they are bringing up useless stats to make it seem like he did something
Great players don't spend half a game on their backside, that has always been my reservation about Grealish. A gifted player for sure, but the constant falling to the ground is a major weakness and would drive me crazy watching that every week.

I don't get the obsession with stats, they are irrelevant in many cases.

Getting the most fouls against means nothing.

The key thing is he is able to draw fouls from the opposition because he gives them a chance of getting the ball then he takes it away from them.

For England he is so far from the opposition goal because of Southgate's inability to play expansive football. Put Grealish in City's team and we will get him the ball around the opposition box. Them fouls with then start to count for a whole lot more.

Fair comment, but I still feel Grealish goes down far too easily and in a top side that is under enormous scrutiny, he will be sussed out quickly and develop a dubious reputation which will affect the referee.
