Jack Grealish

Think Grealish will really shine. Much different than what we have currently and he resembles a prime Hazard. People are really underestimating him on here, he’s gonna be a top top player on this team.
Err, have you not read the thread?
According to most posters he's the fucking messiah. Also nothing like Hazard.

Grealish in and Bernardo out does not strengthen us.
Moving Sterling or Foden from the left to fill Silva's role weakens their play.
Foden and Grealish interchanging on the left would work but that shifts Sterling.
Would love to keep Bernardo instead.
I suspect Foden will move to a floating right sided player to cover Silva's gap. He used to play there but I liked him on the left.
Are you bothered by Sterling moving from the left?

Guess we’ll just have to disagree on that then mate. The way he’s able to win fouls and his ability to attack and shrug off defenders is very similar in my opinion. Has quickness, technique, and power that Eden was know for.

Personally can’t understand why so many people are saying grealish - in and Bernardo - out is a downgrade.

bernardo has been poor for two seasons now and struggled to make it into the first team and hardly makes an impact when he does!

Probs going to get slated for this but it’s a fact

Yep and he's not for sale. Giannis Antetokounmpo signed largest contract in NBA history to stay at Milwaukee Bucks. Co-owner of Bucks is one half of Villa ownership. 100 million figure is meaningless to Villa owners relative to holding onto best players
Fuck all to do with the money, JG will want to be challenging for trophies, he ain't doing that at Villa, simple as.

It’s an odd one because his role isn’t making the best of his abilities IMO. In 2018/19 when he was on the right wing is when we saw him flourish with dribbling, passing and workrate.

Since then, he’s turned into the midfield workhorse which isn’t showing off what he can really do.

That being said, even when he was immense his output wasn’t the best was it? If he didn’t want to leave (apparently) and it was a toss up between him or Grealish then it’d be a tough decision but the fact he wants to go (apparently) and Grealish is a top quality player, it makes it a lot easier to take.

I want Grealish at the club but I think Bernardo was very good this past season for his CM qualities and will be a big loss. I'd much prefer to lose Sterling instead and play Grealish further forward.

But (other than in big matches when it counts) I trust Pep.

Sadly not, I have eyes and as a paying match going fan I’m entitled to to say when someone is underperforming. Granted his stinker of a season I’ve not paid anything for but I can still call it.

He did start it, saying there’s loads of reasons he doesn’t score for City and does for England, can’t see whatever made up reasons he has are positive. Also saying winning something with England will trump anything with city. Even if you think that don’t say it, stay respectful.

That's only 'moaning about City' if you choose to interpret it that way. What he actually said was "There's a lot of different reasons why I haven't scored for my club". Nowhere does he say that the club is to blame. At a stretch you could say he feels Pep is one of the reasons but I imagine all the players are pretty (rightly) pissed off at Pep right now.

You're seeing what you want to see, simple.

It's not a myth it's a serious problem.

It is for us and it was for the rags when they were at their peak.

Certain players don't want to live in northern England, some players don't want to live in the English climate.

A lot of continental players would chose living in London than the north , especially if the Southern club was as competitive.

Barcelona rainfall? Are you seriously saying living in a small northern wet city is better than living in Barcelona/ Costa Brava, really?

And go from one goalscorer to zero? We'd be screwed.

That's the funniest post I've ever read on Bluemoon.

Leave him alone, they‘ve come from the championship to 17th , then 10th - they are a coming force to be feared apparently ....

Out of interest as anybody heard Grealish say he wants to leave Villa?

Rare that it is nowadays but he may well just be happy playing for the club he loves and supports, would you have left City for anybody in the same scenario?

I know I wouldn't have. (not that I was lucky enough to be given that choice lol)

Already said during recent interviews with England he’s ambitious wants to play UCL and win trophies. Not sure how that equates to staying at Villa.
