ExactlyA good appointment that. Annoyingly.
Can see Spuds challenging for Europa league place next year instead of the super continental load of bollocks cup

Is it? He's a decent manager but he's never going to close or even shorten the gap between City and Spurs.
He is not a big name, which they were clearly desperate for.
He is not a world class coach, who could convince Kane to stay.
He is not an attacking coach, which is what caused Mourinho to crash and burn despite making it to a cup final.
He has just been let go by Wolves after a 13th place finish, below Steve Bruce's Newcastle.
If City had hired him I would be fucking livid.
I was about to say the same thing, This guy is talking out his arse. This guy is trying to make a distinction when there is none.
You are free to negotiate and speak to other clubs 6 months before the end of your contract.
There's no "tutelage", there's no input from Barcelona, or permission.
wonder how many Wolves players they'll sign.Exactly

This sounds like the description of their last managerial appointment. The gap between us and spurs isn't closing anytime soon, I agree.
It won't be pretty to watch but he'll make them difficult to beat and less spursy. It's what they need right now.
Is that not what they’ve just got rid of?The gap between us and spurs isn't closing anytime soon, I agree.

This guy is trying to make a distinction when there is none to inflate the importance of tonight's deadline.

Before 6 months left, another club needs Barcelona's permission to speak to Messi, in the last 6 months, they haven't. And it's all largely irrelevant because for the last 15 years they've been able to speak to his agent freely without Barcelona knowing or being able to do anything about it.
Messi is staying at Barcelona

They can’t. They will have paid him off, probably a year or two’s salary. He still had four years on his dealHow can Barca afford to just terminate the contracts of players they signed less than a year ago?
