Fingers crossed that they’re relying on the £150m from us and when we tell them to get fucked the shit will hit the fan.Spurs linked to Kounde and Tomiyasu. Would be two fantastic signings for them if true. It does make you wonder where they’re getting the money from though…

Gabby doesn’t get that luxury??It’s amazing how underrated Gabby is amongst our own fans.
He quicker than Kane (so’s my dead neighbour), he’s more skilful, can take players on better than he can, can work better in tighter areas than he can, works much harder than he does in attack and defence (for the team).
Kane’s a better goal scorer and better in the air.
We’ll see how much better you think he is against a packed defences every week.
The problem with Gabby is he’s played second fiddle to Sergio, so either Sergio plays or none of them, long term.
Gabby has a couple of ‘bad’ games (not scoring), but also working his bollocks off for the team and he gets hooked.
Kane of the other hand has a few bad games and because he’s really the only goal threat he doesn’t get dropped, so gets to play his way back into form (England).
Gabby doesn’t get that luxury.
He does though get the luxury of playing in the best team in the premier league which Harry Kane has never had.
Kane is levels above gabby
If he wasn’t we wouldn’t be interested in Kane in the first place

Can’t see us not signing a striker. We can’t be relying on either Delap or Nmecha to replace Sergio. We got away without having a striker last season, but we may not be as successful in the coming one.

Gabriel Jesus : 123 starts plus 72 as a substitute. 82 goals. Pretty decent record in my eyes. I reckon that equates to a very good minutes to goal ratio.Gabby doesn’t get that luxury??

Nuno is the new Spurs man. Jorge Mendes client. I'm sure Kane is ours, barring serious injury.
The reaction to his Euro 2020 displays is predictably over the top - this is the last I'll say on the matter.
He's not crocked, not seriously. He's not at his best.
But I had reason to go back through the papers earlier this week, and noticed that both Mourinho, and Joachim Low, had commented upon his role for England in the run up to the Germany game. Both made the same observation - he was sacrificing himself for the team.
They could see it. I could see it. But people get silly specs on when watching England. So confused by watching players from other teams, a manager who (and no matter who it is) is more than likely going to end being thrown in the stocks, and with he whole thing a ridiculous spectacle anyway, it clouds people's better judgement.
Without Kane occupying both centreforwards for 90 minutes, then Sterling would never have had the spaces to run into. It's why Sterling fell off a cliff after Aguero got dumped from the team. With a midfield of Philips and Rice the best we could field - and with Shaw so limited as a LB - this was always England's best tactic.

One thing that people don't know when they are crticising Kane's performance is what he manager has asked / told him to do.
Rather than, for instance, him being someone that cannot press opposing defenders hard, he may have been told not to. He may never be Gabby on that score but I am not convinced he couldn't do more if asked to by, say Pep.
He's still not my first, second or even third choice to join us as a striker but I do know that he hasn't had many goal attempts in the games so far but he made sure he netted from the best chance he had and brought a very good save out from another. If he did join City, the likelihood remains that he'd have a high number of goal contributions.

Jesus would score more goals if he played week in week out but I think he is best as a wide forward like STerling. Both players imo suffered this season because of the absence of a central striker.Agreed

They will get Ake as part of the deal, good move for all.Spurs need to rebuild their defence. I think they will say Kane's not for sale, buy defenders, and then let Kane go. IMO you don't your club captain at the club against his wishes.
