Hinting to ITV about their being behind the scene problems this season.

Either in his life or at City?
Poor form to blame anything else. Clearly doesn't like the fact he was dropped...He needs to man up and simply deliver for us with more consistency. Speak with your actions on the pitch as pep always says. While i'm delighted to see him contributing for england i'm much more interested in what he's doing(or not doing) for us.

He should just keep it to himself if there are things at the club he isn't happy about. Dont give the shitbag media an excuse to invent a new stick to beat us with...he of all people should know what hyena's the press are.

He has said fuck all except he is happier playing

Player of the tournament so far.. 60/70% of England’s threat comes entirely through him. No one has been better than his in the tournament thus far… so consistent. Tonight he was immaculate despite not scoring.

Been critical but he’s stepped up. Really enjoyed his birthday interviews where he’s said about not caring about what people say. Hope this carries on next season, great assist

Class is permanent form is temporary.

Been fantastic.

yep. World class this tournament and bar last season for the last 3/4 years.. he’s elite not even up for debate unless of course you are dumb.

Causes absolute pandemonium for defenders.. few players cause more problems in world football.

Long may it continue.

Pep will want to him to continue this form as a goal scoring LW for City, I think Foden's midfield future might be ramped up as a result.

Some on here have mentioned getting a LB like Shaw because they like the link-up between Sterling and Shaw, and I think it's pretty easy to develop that attack through Foden and Sterling instead.

------------------------Kane
Sterling-------Foden------KdB----------Mahrez

England don't use 2 attacking midfielders and so HAVE to use the fullbacks to combine with the wingers, at City, we just have our attacking midfielders complete this role, with the fullbacks (Zinchenko) occassionally doing it as it isn't as necessary.

I'm a big Sterling fan... but if you were to list his strengths, 1v1 dribbling from the wings isn't high on the list.

I think 1v1s in general for Sterling are a weakness, even in finishing, the more he acts on "instinct" the better he is.

We can just disagree here.

On the striker thing, it's a stretch that I think most wouldn't agree with me on. He would play the role differently than others, any maybe it won't work because he himself might need to play off a striker, but the speed and positioning he has makes it something I think could work for us.
I think too many people get hung up on traditional terms like "winger" or "striker" and want to label players on old concepts in a changed era. I don't think it's a stretch imo just to say he is a "forward" who has and can contribute from wide or central positions.

When people who don't know him tell him to "man up" it's not just the press who are like hyenas.

“Man up”? The lad has been pilloried by every clown in England for years. He’s got balls of fucking steel. That’s a twattish, bitchy comment which I’d expect off some beered up pub bore, not a cIty fan.

I completely disagree and dont give a shit that the terminology doesnt meet your utterly laughable standards for what a city fan should/shouldn't say. Who the fuck are you? The irony on display in that comment actually nearly made me spit my drink lol...pretty funny stuff.

Sterling should absolutely man up on the pitch as per what pep himself has been alluding to in interviews last season. He should not be making such comments to the press...i repeat, he of all people should know what gutter snipes they are. It could easily be construed as bitter towards pep and gives the press exactly what they want in terms of a new stick to beat us with.

Of course it might end up being that his comments were all to do with his favorite dog being ill and thats what made him crap for us this last year+. Might be nothing to do with pep or anything behind the scenes at the actual club.

We'll see because this stuff comes out in the wash eventually.

Sterling is underrated and even Pep acknowledge his Talent.

The hate that Sterling gets comes from the Scousers Media manipulation because he wanted to leave Liverpool.

Liverpool Fans are probably the worst in that regard.

That’s a poor take.

I guarantee you couldn't do your job effectively and to a high standard if you got half the shit Sterling has had in his life.

You can try it for 1000000 times, but the fact is that -> Pep decided to play Foden as LW, because
Sterling wasn't delivering the goals or assists there - like Pep would love to..

Mahrez and Foden were better wingers and I don't know how it can change it future..

As for Foden playing LCM -> Pep tried it as well and it didn't work, that's why he said during one if his press conferences that Foden still has to learn a lot of things - which will help him to control the tempo and etc. and etc.

And that's why he is trying to buy Jack Grealish and fill the gap in that LCM position.

He scored the goals for England - but it doesn't mean - that Pep shouldn't consider what happened during this season.

Otherwise, we will have the same problems, we had in September-October-November..
